Who is bogging off after the YES vote?
Discussion
I'd suggest that not a lot of folks up north really know where stuff is stored or where other facilities exist. WHY was a transatlantic cable terminal built into a hill ,with blast proof doors and other protection in the cold war years.

So because some windmills are ruining your view you deem that worthy of the storing of WMD's within spitting distance of Scotland's largest population centre?
Don't see the problem unless you believe that scots are less likely to accept them in scotlandAlso they are serviced a similar distance from London
But well done in not noticing the slagging i gave to the SNP and their riding rough shod over democracy and local views
Well done
I can tell you are a yes voter

Hmm, you obviously don't understand what a deterrent is then.
To be fair - these days the majority of the public are clueless on the deterrent.Over the last few months I've often asked yes and no proponents about nuclear weapons in Scotland and it's been astonishing how many have not a scooby - despite the regular publicity on Trident - that Scotland has WMD on its soil. And even if they do have inkling most don't have a scooby as to the way the deterrent actually operates and that there is a deterrent patrol ongoing even as the discussion takes place. It doesn't matter whether they are young or old or whether they have degrees or no qualifications (or whether that are teachers). There are plenty of people who grew up during the cold war who have forgotten about it in the last 20+ years.
Same goes for nuclear power. The fact that Scotland has two operational nuclear power stations often comes as a surprise.
There are times when I think that in order to vote in any non-local election prospective voters should have to take a simple multiple choice test on various facts about the country before they are given a polling card.

I'll take my chances with a centralised UK government made up from elected MPs from all over the UK represented as proportions of the population, who take care of national matters and delegate the local matters to the local authorities. To be fair, that's what the present devolved Scottish government is supposed to do, but they keep interfering with things.
I'm quite pleased that Aberdeen City Council has fallen out with Holyrood quite publically and told them to keep their noses out of local affairs. Holyrood have not bathed themselves in glory round these parts of late.

The same Scottish government that over-ruled the local authorities and allowed an American to bulldoze an SSSI to build a golf course on the promise of "replacing the oil industry" and providing thousands of jobs, ridiculing the councillors who followed due process and went with the majority vote. The American made the lives of some locals who's existing houses spoiled the views from his golf course. As with most of this American's projects, the development was abandoned, there are no jobs, the oil industry - shockingly has not been replaced and Aberdeenshire now has 17 golf courses instead of 16 or whatever the number was but a unique SSSI and endangered species habitat has been destroyed.

as the last poll by the local paper had support for a yes vote by true scots at 25%

Please stop as it is an ugly part of this debate that is not in the slightest bit helpful.
Calvib.
You seem happy to tell Wiggly off, but have yet to say anything about Exitwound's statement on the main thread.
Exit has stated that anyone who doesn't vote yes is not a true Scot, or don't wish to be.
Are you going to tell him off for making a rather rude blanket statement for all us No voters?

Why do you constantly try and promote the view that if you're voting YES, you probably hate the English? This is pretty nasty stuff you are peddling here (basically accusing ~40% of your countrymen as being racist) and utterly not true. I know many yes supporters and not one hates the English. I dare say there are a very small minority that do hate the English (and other nationalities) but you always will get nutters. There are a small minority of English that hate the Scots too I'm sure.

But it justifies bogging off after a Yes vote because he is SO NO and he loves them so much.
Self justification.
Or he wants us to beg him to stay. Not quite sure.
You think i am 100% noSelf justification.
Or he wants us to beg him to stay. Not quite sure.
I think you haven't been paying attention
I am happy with an indpendent scotland
I do not want the independent scotland i am being told i will get
So try again
As to getting the english to beg us to stay
That is very much a YES tatic
The truth is they will probably benefit from scottish independence as shipbuilding and all public sector jobs created up here will come south. Also there is very few products made in scotland that can't be made in england so engineering firms in england will benefit. the finaince industry will move south as we won't have the pound
I think you will find once we vote YES the english will be delighted to send us packing with a very very st deal

I was referring to you begging us to make you stay after the Yes vote. Was that not the point of the thread?
No the point of this thread was to see if i am unquie in thinking your glorious freedom will fk up scotland. i wanted assurance that all YES voters have some proof behind what they say.I was referring to you begging us to make you stay after the Yes vote. Was that not the point of the thread?
I'm not unique in my beliefs
Still waiting for proof

Or perhaps they don't actually want any more independence, they're happy with the symbolic independence at any cost, like exitwound?

The reality is, ..is that there is no choice for Scots, ..as if you vote No, your voting against your own country and as such, you aren't a Scot or don't wish to be.

Or go to BT Facebook page and post anything slightly against the Union, get insulted by arrogant and ignorant tosspots, have your post deleted and get banned. There are statistics on the the number of posts deleted by admins between the YES and BT pages - one is censoring the public!
