Just sorted tyre valve in my wife's Fiat F.O.C.

The chap who attended to her was apparently "an awful nice man".

I'll hence be using them next time I have a mainstream tyre requirement. smile

That's nice of them.

I went down to Kenway Tyres a while ago to check the balance on a couple of wheels.

Obviously I wasn't expecting it for free, but the guy charged me the full cost of fitting and balancing two tyres when all they did was balance them. It didn't even take 10mins.

Little things like that just make you think, I'll not go back there.

I've had my last 3 MOTs from the Market St Kwik-Fit for £25. First two no problems, third was just one CV boot leak fail. Had a look and sure enough.

They seem to get a lot of negative press about the cheap MOTs being just so they can invent some problems to repair.

I have a theory that they're too busy to be able to do this and keep track of what they're doing, more so than a small (possibly dodgy) independent.

Maybe I've just been fortunate.

Guy at Kwik-Fit in Dyce changed the brakes on my Mustang FOC as I had the parts already. Good guys it seems.
