I don't think it's possible to justify the driving in the video and it's dangerous in many ways. My guess is the Golf driver was frustrated at how early the camera car pulled out to overtake but that's no justification for their actions.

I would agree. Not good driving.

To be honest it's not exactly rare to see that kind of driving on the A90. I used to live near Newcastle and first thing I noticed when I moved up to Aberdeen was how impatient and aggressive nearly everybody is on the roads up here. Oh and no matter how fast you're going there's always someone right on your bumper wanting passed.

It kept my dad in work (firefighter). This particular incident happened near where I grew up and perhaps it's not the case now but there have been so many horrific accidents around that area. The worst road was the fraserburgh to peterhead one though thanks to the 9 minute club.CraigDarlo said:

Yeah in Aberdeen, everything just seems 50% faster and 50% more risky. I spit the difference at roundabouts - the propensity for people to pull out in front of you when there's not much margin for error is greatly higher in ABZ for example.simoid said:

Driving down Anderson drive to the Bridge of Dee, dual carriageway, pedestrian crossing, they press the button, lights go to red, they cross, next pedestrian presses the button, lights go to red again, maybe two or three cars get throught whilst the lights are green, crap. Every set of pedestrian lights in town have a delay from pressing the button to the lights going red, not her though.

BUT, as the A90 reaches the Bridge of Dee, we have a single carriageway across the bridge, with traffic from 3 entry points merging to cross the bridge.
Not only but also they are building over 1300 new homes South of Aberdeen, the council was asked what they intended to about this bloody bridge, bad as it is now and the additional traffic from the 1300 new houses, response! "We will,address that after the houses have been built".

I believe the frustration of drivers is brought on by the terrible flow of traffic through, into and out of Aberdeen. Excessive use of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings largely to blame.

The standard of driving in Aberdeen is especially poor.
I agree the roads aren't good, but so many people get so many basic things wrong all the time.
Don't know how many times you'll see a car driving all the way up Anderson Drive whilst staying in the outside lane for absolutely no reason.
The roundabout at the bottom of Wellington Road over the Queen Elizabeth bridge is another example.
Heading out of Aberdeen nearly everyone stays in the left hand lane to take the third and final exit of the roundabout. This causes the traffic to build right up and ends up blocking the previous roundabout for everyone.
Do the correct thing and go in the right lane to turn right and people go mental. I've lost count of the amount of times I've either had aggressive drivers try to squeeze me out, honk their horns or give that look of absolute disgust when I do.
So many instances of poor driving and many of the serious accidents happen in parts you wouldn't think possible.
I remember one of the insurance companies released some facts last year. Aberdonians were the second most likely area to have accidents with lampposts.
