Hi all,

Looking for a bit of help in finding a location for a shoot I've planned in Glasgow on Monday evening. Since I won't be down till the afternoon I won't get a chance to scout out some locations.

Anyone able to recommend any good locations? Ideally away from street lights and security lights, so that I can light paint the car. Where there is little to zero ambient light, but not a dogging spot! Haha!

Either that or has anyone access to a lockup/large garage/warehouse we can use for a few hours (for a crate of beer)?

Hopefully someone can help,

Cheers!

Hi Scott

I know there was a tunnel down one of the backstreets near Sauchiehall street. We were in at it last year.

3-20 India St, Glasgow G2, UK - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/20+India+St,+G...

My friend was practicing light shots there.

Dunno if its of any help.

There was also a lane near Blythswood Square that's good for photos, probably dark enough (maybe pitch black) for you. Might not be 100% suitable for mega low cars or wide.

W George Ln, Glasgow G2 4HA, UK - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/W+George+Ln,+G...

Hope that helps.

Excellent, thanks very much Greg. Both of those look excellent, India street might be blocked off now according to Google Maps, but I'll have a look anyway! Much appreciated!

Does it just need to be a dark area?

I might be able to get you access to a photographic studio at work with a car turntable.

Hi phunk, yeah somewhere where we can control the ambient or were it's completely dark. A studio? That'd be awesome if you could. I don't think a crate of beer would cut it though if you did?

There is a brilliant bit of road high up behind Balmore which links Torrance to the Stratblane Road. Gives superb panoramic views across the City and would certainly be dark. Used to up there for a blat

Shouldn't be a problem, ideally needs to be evenings or weekends though.

Looks like this (i've photoshopped out the turntable)
