Electric gates

Does anyone have any experience with, or recommendations of, an electric driveway gates company. There are a lot to choose from and I'd Rather not pick a random one. Edinburgh based.

I also want to fit electric gates

Looked at a few and mainly want them for the laziness part of me

Buy a good quality kit and install them yourselves. Its pretty straight forward. They come with instructions. I have fitted a few and saved a fortune.

If you're that lazy, look at equipping gate with an intercom linked to a small phone system, which lets you answer intercom any where you've got a phone (cordless ) and also operate the gates from inside. If you've got a cordless with enough range, it's possible to get a cordless in car to operate gates from outside -same open code.

You can add a control unit with a SIM card that allows you to control the gates from anywhere with a call from your mobile. It allows you to program the unit with family and friends mobile numbers too..if that's what you want.
