It seems the former transport minister would like to see all speed limits in Scotland reduced by 10mph

I didn't realise though that Father Jack Hackett had become transport minster after the the demise of Father Ted, I suppose he had to get another job. wink
As someone who supports Independence and votes SNP, this guy is a halfwit.

From the P & J, this bit really boils my piss

A bid to potentially increase the number of 20mph zones across Aberdeen was recently thrown out by city councillors.

Liberal Democrat councillor Ian Yuill called on fellow members to look to Edinburgh where around 80% of the city’s streets are 20mph.

He said that a similar move could improve safety for pedestrians in the city.

FFS educate the bloody pedestrians, take those fecking earphones out of your lugs, stop texting and look where you are going.

I wonder how the pedestrian I juries has altered with this 20 limit anyway.

P.S. No idea what has happened to the bold, frown

Councillor Neil Crooks, who lives in Kinghorn, said: “I have seen vehicles with four wheels off the ground as drivers go over the raised crossing on the High Street. It is not an uncommon sight.”

20mph limits mean only one thing...

1st gear everywhere tongue out

Not fussed about the incremental rise in fuel consumption, but I'm sure the increase in roadside pollution will have the cooncil retards scratching their heads.

Works even better on an NIMBY-inhabited roads with speedbumps and a 20 limit. 4000rpm between the speedbumps but I'm not breaking the speedlimit! Get it right up ye...
