Hi

Unfortunately my cars been hit today by another person. Its all going through insurance but Id like to take it to my own suggested place rather than let the insurance do it incase its a bodge. Id like to know whos good around Glasgow who would also have a courtesy car to loan while the repair is been done ?

That is a shame that your car has been hit. I use Dentec in Rutherglen. They are always on time, very high quality of work and they have a great front of house team that will keep you updated. No courtesy car.

You may find if not your fault easier just to go with your own insurers suggested so that you will get replacement car and a good job as insurer wont have any issue with repairer

It depends what sort of body shop you are after, I've heard good things about Kenny Laird, Touchups and Harkness Bodyshop in East Kilbride, but never actually dealt with any of them.

I work for a company that supplies hire cars on behalf of an accident management company and we deal with loads of body shops from the big guns like Armold Clark (we use about 6 or 7 of theirs), Evans Halshaw, Taggarts in Motherwell, Parks in East Kilbride and Hillington. To big independents like Mitchell Inglis and Allied Vehicles to small places like Richmond Coachworks in Cambuslang, McLarens in Kirkintilloch, Gormac Coachworks in Renfrew, Pro Paint in Chapelhall etc pretty much most body shops in the area,

Ones I've heard lots of good things about and would use myself are Glasgow Audi/Lomond Audi Bodyshop at Hillington, McLarens in Kirkintilloch, Gormacs in Renfrew. Good bunch of people working at these ones, friendly, not the biggest and most glitzy of places but top notch work from the work I've seen.

Kenny Laird is based around the corner from me and his work is faultless. He doesn't offer a courtesy car service however.

I use Bridgend Motors in Kilwinning. Just about to pick my car up tomorrow. They do all the work on my car even though I stay in Fife. I find it worth the travel

I wouldn't go near Mitchell Inglis, very poor. I've also heard bad things about Parks in East Kilbride. The common denominator seems to be that they are 'approved' Bodyshops.
