Hi, some years ago there was an in-car video doing the rounds of a police car on a high speed dash through Glasgow I think going to hospital with a human heart. Please can someone find a link to it because I can't? Thank you.

CoolC, thank you but unfortunately that's not the one. It was a more recent video and definitely took place in Glasgow.

There was a few doing the rounds and it was either emergency blood or organ vehicle but it wasn't police.

Pretty sure it was a Volvo estate the guy used and he used to post the videos to let drivers see it from his angle and as a training tool. However if this is the same one that you are thinking of then I am pretty much sure it was pulled eventually by the driver due to advice received.

This sounding familiar? Definitely had one video coming up M74 all the way into Glasgow via M8 (before the M74 extension) and also I think one coming from East Kilbride as well (guessing maybe Hairmyres?)

I seem to remember this video too, but I've only ever seen it once years ago and can't find it now. May have been pulled as Craigie said above.

I remember subscribing to that chap's youtube channel and unfortunately all the videos have since been pulled.

They were quite good - the Glasgow one I recall involved getting to the Golden Jubilee with a police 5-series providing an escort along the M8 & Expressway at rush hour? I'm sure there was another going from Sheffield to Edinburgh at a pretty impressive average speed.

How times change...

I remember delivering human organs for transplant in a 'J' reg Escort van, no police escort, no nothing.

There was a tale, apocryphal most likely, about one of our guys bringing a liver up from north east England to Edinburgh on very cold winter's night. He put the carry case in the passenger footwell and it sat there the whole way with the heater on full blast.

Can you see where this is going? Fried onions with that?..

Thank you for your replies. It's a shame the video is now unavailable, it was great viewing and attracted a lot of comment at the time.

That one in Glasgow, he had started from Newcastle I think as I recall part of the video running up the A1 and the Edinburgh City bypass.

Shame they got pulled, though I do recall watching one video of him bombing up the A9 to Inverness with some fairly questionable overtakes into oncoming traffic!

I was looking for the same one recently - as you say it was fairly recent and covered the m8 out by Charing x.

I used to subscribe to a Glasgow cyclist who disappeared from the face of the earth, as did his videos. Can't remember his name now - anyone know who I mean.

Yep, enjoyed the guys videos quite a bit! enjoyed the strathclyde marked BMW escort through the various ring roads. He done a walk-around of his works Volvo which raised my eyebrow too, when his videos came down it wasn't a surprise. Some unusual and interesting electronic siren tones.

All it probably took was one idiot to make the ambulance trust aware for professional standards to have the guy remove them pretty quick.
