Hello

I would like a recommendation for respraying a Porsche 928S, based in Glasgow.

There's a place in Clyde Street that does such work for Porsche I believe - Google is your friend.

Edit - or Kenny Laird who did a cracking job on my Boxster years ago.

Edgefield Coachworks, Loanhead (Nr Edinburgh) 0131 440 3108, get prestige cars in from all over Scotland, workmanship is superb, re sprays are done properly - doors, mirrors etc all removed.

Chap in Motherwell, i Know it's not exactly Glasgow but it's close enough to matter, re-sprayed my mates GTS. He was going to do my S4 before I sold it. If you want to get in contact, let me know. You can't phone him as he's deaf. You need to go and see him.

Did he do a good job Brian? I thought he had done a very good job of Steve Taylors GTS.

£500 for a crap un.

£5,000 for a good un.

Price is no reflection on quality in reality though.

Ferrymill in Torrance just to the north of Glasgow have a decent reputation. I've used them a few times with no issues.

Mclarens in Kirkintilloch also have a good rep. I've never used them, but know folk who have, and they happily recommend them.

Price-wise - a lot of places will do an excellent job for far less than 5 grand.

I use Touchups quite often.

They did an excellent job on my 911. They also had a 993 cab in getting a full engine out respray and the work looked very impressive.

Pretty reasonable ££ too.
