Agree... Raceland is a long outdoor track with some great challenging corners. The right hander at the bottom of the hill takes big balls to take flat!

According to their websites Banff is 850m and Raceland is 930m, so both tracks offer a great outdoor experience.

I live close to ScotKart in Cambuslang - couldn't comment on how it compares to other karting centres but I do wonder how it survives as it generally seems very quiet through the week, only really seeming to get a turn at weekends.

ScotKart are rotten, the surface is really slippy, they allow no contact whatsoever and the marshalls are a bunch of wee neds.
Raceland on the other hand is what arrive and drive karting is all about, great track, sensible race direction, slick running of the races and generally good karts.
We never go anywhere else now.

Interesting, I'm not a huge karting fan but good to know where the good places are located.

I used to go to Scotkart in a weeks basics and got to stage I held the lap record for a whole year 31.14

Got friendly with them just to try get a sponsor from them when was going to race the xr2 but that hit the fan
When the axle broke in the chicane at Knockhill.

Not been to raceland for a while but vic covey jnr works there and sometimes ran the races
And can't mind the other guy who was Scottish karting champ there full of advice even help me get
From 1min 3 sec lap times down to 1min 1sec

Hopefully after back surgery rehab completed in 4 month time will be back at them

The track is at Boyndie - close to Banff.

They can run different configurations.

We're about to book a team endurance event, for next month, at race land if you want to come along? Might see you today at Erskine if you're around?

Are you looking for more drivers? I haven't been to Raceland for ages.
