It is an electrical problem or something else stopping it from working? Is there any power at all? Does the steering work?
These cars are pretty simple and if you can give some more information I am sure we can get it going without having to take it to a hobby shop.

OK, so it sounds like it is either be the transmitter or the receiver to me.
£22 for both new here

If it is not that it could be the ESC. Cheap (£7) replacement available here
