The Midge. Do some research and don't let "it" spoil your time.

If Edradour is closed, try Deanston, near Doune. My cousin was there recently and said it was a lovely tour.

No bother - my pleasure. Yes, that's Breezer on the card.

You asked about off-roading earlier.

I don't know much about this place ...

... except there's a bloke who competes on the sprints and hills works there. I meant to ask him about it when I saw him last weekend but forgot - sorry.

Amazing!

I've been meaning to post some pictures but when I got back to work I found my colleague went on long term leave two days after I went so I've been extremely busy!
I'll post more in the next few days, but we're definitely going to go back in a couple of years and this thread helped a lot.

Sorry I haven't updated with pics like I said, I need to trim most down as they're too large to upload to PH.
Will do it this week but in the mean time here's a picture of my Discovery in Glen Etive.

For a distillery, you could go for Scotland's oldest one, the Glenturret Distillery at Crieff: http://experience.thefamousgrouse.com/

Lovely drive over the A826/A822 down to Crieff, where you could stop at the Crieff Hydro, Delivinos or Yann's for lunch/Dinner.

For a walk you could drive up to the Loch Turret Reservoir then walk right round the lock. Alternatively you could walk up the Knock at Crieff.

Could complete the loop by taking the A85/A827 out past Lochearnhead and back up to your accommodation.
Definitely a good call. It is suitable for the family - I won't spoil the kids' surprise but it's musical. The nearest ish ones to you are Erdradour, Glengoyne, Glenturret / Famous Grouse and Deanston. Glengoyne is the prettiest of them all. Famous Grouse one is surprisingly un-corporate, reeks of tradition, family run (just owned by a conglomerate) and friendly little place.
