Honestly, there will be no difference. I've had S4, RS6, 911, Aston, Caterham, R8, M3, Lotus amongst others, and the most fun I had was probably in a mini.
Matters not what you drive. The roads are sometimes twisty, sometimes fast, sometimes bumpy, sometimes smooth - it'll even out.
Something that won't break down is my best advice It takes ages to recover a car up here.
Thanks mate, everything said s3 until the last part! Matters not what you drive. The roads are sometimes twisty, sometimes fast, sometimes bumpy, sometimes smooth - it'll even out.

I drove the west coast a few years ago (mostly thanks to Steve Carter's pics) in a rental 911 and loved it. A mate and I are heading back in July - he's got a 911 and I'm bringing my 918. I think I might have got a bit ambitious booking a night at the Summer Isles Hotel though. I just discovered a vid - the single track out there looks tougher than the rest. Any thoughts on the road to Achiltibuie? I think I'll sit out the high road to Applecross too. The 918 has a front lifter but it is pretty wide and not a hell of lot of fun to reverse. Another option might be to find somewhere to garage the 918 overnight somewhere near and we both go to Achiltibuie in the 911.

It's fine. This is the toughest bit, and I've done it in an R500 no problem (first 50 secs) >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd6nL_6ll7AEdited by mhh on Monday 16th May 23:28
As for Applecross... this lot did it without issue a few weeks ago:

Our NC500 trip is due to start in the next month, can't wait!
Slight dilemma though, my S3 is currently down on power and in need of a new clutch. With that in mind my in-law has offered use of his 2013 Boxster S.
I can sort out insurance through my current policy, but looking for some input from those that have done the route before.
Take the S3 or be brave and take the Porsche before he sells it?
I owned a 2013 Boxster S. Fabulous car. I'd take that any day.Slight dilemma though, my S3 is currently down on power and in need of a new clutch. With that in mind my in-law has offered use of his 2013 Boxster S.
