Sadly I was back at work on Monday,4 of us locals up here tagged along with a few guys from the RenaultSport club that were doing the full route,we went our seperate ways at Kinlochewe and headed home to Inverness leaving them to go to Ullapool for the night.

Saw the 2xS1 Elises and Caterhams at Applecross on Saturday. You guys left 10mins before me on Saturday in the pouring rain, I was in a white Porsche 968 ClubSport, we headed up to Achmelvich and stayed 2 nights so only did part of NC500.
Also spotted you parked up mid afternoon outside a big house on our way to Achmelvich, no idea where that was though !

That was our overnight stop, the Loch Maree hotel. Saw you go past us, as we were all admiring that clubsport and watching out for you! winkbow

After local advice, we successfully traversed Applecross last Thursday. No problems although fog at the top meant no photo opportunity.

Back in London after 2,500 miles in a week.

That thing looks like it could do 2,500 miles in a day!

You're famous over on the Really Good Number Plates thread, btw. Spotted by many at Goodwood.

Lovely plate. Lovely car. Lovely road. cool

That isn't fog at the top, you drove into the clouds. There is a difference!

Just a polite request for people NOT to park in the Applecross (self) filling station.

Yes, you read that right - people are doing so, so nobody else can fill up.

Lambo parked there last week and walked off to the pub.

Applecross are taking a vote to take it off the NC500 route. (They are that pissed off)

I'll never understand the mentality of someone like that.

Indeed. They are having to put up 'no parking' signs.

Tut.

On our drive over the pass Friday, cloud level was a bit higher so I managed a picture.
I was amazed at how low the temperature was at the top, sure it must only have been a few degrees but a ClubSport has a lap timer rather than an outside temp !

Same place, fogless, almost cloudless, 4 years ago. When it was still a quiet road, and you could park outside the pub.

I was in Applecross yesterday and it's the busiest I have ever seen it. Good run round the coast road on the way there.
