Anyone heading along?

Weather forecast doesn't look great which will be frustrating for many people attending and exhibiting but I hope to still make it out for a few hours in the afternoon. Always love seeing the Supercar pursuit in particular.

went in 2014-very good but last year was not as good and kids could not be bought off by icecream as was very gritty stuff so thinking 50/50 chance of going this year depending on forecast really

Went along at 3pm to see the pursuit laps just to hear the supercars. But disappointed to see no "exotica" on track this year. Given McLaren and Porsche had "exhibition stands", you think they've be willing to show off their cars on track... and not a single Ferrari frown

Actually, to be fair, the V10 R8 sounded impressive!

Won't bother next year frown

That said, the Enzo must have just been collected this evening and blasted passed the house, what a noise!!

Murcielago, V12 Vantage, Gallardo, 911 GT3, Noble, 911 Turbo... all on track in the pursuits? Only in Aberdeen would they not be considered exotica laugh Also worth noting that the F40 was out throughout the Early Bird session giving rides which given its value is pretty decent. Could have done with some Mclarens out on track but if folk don't volunteer them, what can they do?

Feel sorry for that F40 driver who apparently has a blister on his hand from so many gear changes wink
He had some very happy passengers thumbup

Took my 3 year old son who promptly burst into hysterics when the ~750 bhp Corsa decided to demonstrate the art of going nowhere fast whilst waking the dead. "Back to the car Daddy!!" he howled, not even a Mr Whippy could bring him round. So after 30 mins, home we went.

Fair point, perhaps I was being a little harsh smile

I guess I just wasn't wowed by anything that afternoon. Would have been good to see the F40 like previous years.

Haha, sure it wasn't 75.0 bhp?? smile

We were the same, but sitting in the stand which only exaggerated it, some very shocked kiddies.

I thought it was a decent show but nowhere as good as 2014.
Disappointed some of the pursuit entrants pulled out but highly entertaining stuff from the Mk1 & Mk2 Escort boys.
F40 will always a winner for me and the Yellow P1 was very easy on the eye.

Flashed out the F50 turning off the A944 towards Peterculter this afterneen, sounded immense.

Went along from before 12 through to the end of the pursuits with my brother and 3 of my younger kids in tow, including my 4 year old with her pistonheads T shirt on.

I expected it to be a bit smaller with less stuff given the Royal Deeside FOS is also happening in the coming weeks but it pretty much seemed on a par with previous years.

- Some good fun in the early bird runs, the F40 and the Mk2 Escort going slideywise every lap were highlights.
- Some nice motors on the static displays, the Gt3RS, 918 and Fezza's were a highlight.
- Pursuits were good fun, enjoyed seeing the Kinghorn 997 up against the noble and then the wee single seater race car which made an obscene noise.
- Still think the venue struggles a bit with the numbers who turn up for this but as long as you don't get uptight and you're prepared to hunt down a bit of a gap to stand and watch it's ok. The food queues didn't seem too bad.
- We visited the museum when it rained a bit and it was excellent, first time we've been in there for a couple of years. The kids in particular had a good time in the museum,
