Merc Service - Ayrshire/Glasgow area

So the countdown clock has started in my slk55 for its first service.

I've heard TJ O'Neill recommended on a couple of occasions. Any experiences here? Also open to any other suggestions of good garages out there.

Ive been to a few "recommended" specialists mentioned on different forums for the servicing of my merc and I have to say Mercparts blows them all out of the water.

He knows exactly what hes doing and really takes care of the cars. I have been to a few others and they are not really specialists (in my eyes)

People use the word specialists too easily.

On a side note there was a new BMW "specialist" that has opened up in clydebank - The owner had worked in a BMW garage for 6 months before deciding to set up himself.

This! My SLK55 is going in on Thursday for a routine service. These guys know their stuff and actually care about the cars they work on. They even noticed that MB Giffnock had fitted the wrong oil filter during a previous service. My only regret is not discovering Mercparts much earlier!!!

After a bit of research and phoning around i'm booked in with M B Jarvie Ltd on the 22nd.

Hopefully it will be a good experience. Will report back once done.

I went to MB Jarvie by chance last year to get them to check something and they're pretty good from what I saw plus they get great reviews. They work on alot of nice classic cars which i'm sure you'll see when you go there.

Automotive solutions in Ayr specialise in Mercs. Owner is an ex Mercedes technician. Ask for Stuart.

Plenty of happy customers on mbclub as well.

I've had no problem with them and on several occasions I've had them recommended to me by other MB owners who didn't realise that's where we took our cars when we had MBs.

I quite happily recommend to friends and neighbours.

MB Jarvie did my 1st service for me on Thursday.

Spot on job to be honest and all for the price quoted.

I'll be back again next year.

Oh, don't be fooled by the location/exterior. When you go inside it's a whole different world.
