Hi there, im in edinburgh, also a student. Looking at starting an informal club/meeting group of enthusiasts to go on runs around edinburgh region, there are some roads that are too good not to make use of. As far as I am aware there is not a frequent meet or run at the moment, please inform me if there is so. There is a good number of heads at uni who are champing at the bit to get something organised and thought where best to reach out than here. Will be coming up with a facebook group soon and name to go with it. What do you think ?

I would personally keep it away from being an official university club on the basis that if people come along on the runs and act like idiots then some of the st storm is going to end up coming down on you. That seems to be the most difficult part of the runs. It's not hard to get people together but people get excited and do stupid stuff on occasion. This is especially so where it's a bunch of people who don't already know each other.
