Just signed up so thought I'd say hello.

I live and work in East Lothian just outside of Edinburgh. I'm a mechanic & MOT tester and also rebuild gearboxes as a hobby. I specialise in Vauxhalls and the M32 box hence my username. I also have a website which has recently had a fair chunk of people visiting from PH so I thought I'd join up to say thanks thumbup

Looks like a good place to hang out

Aye, you'll keep busy with the M32 gearbox that's for sure.

Welcome to Pistonheads.

There's always plenty to do on them that's for sure!

Thanks for the welcome. Is there many here from the Lothians/Edinburgh area?

Hmmm, at some point soon I may require one of my Saab gearboxes rebuilt (FM55, same as F25 IIRC!), would this be something you could do?

I'm in sunny Gorebridge by the way, former serial Vauxhall owner too!

I've stripped an F25 back in the day so I don't see why not.

Sunny Gorebridge is only a stones throw away from the workshop too

Do you know if Fiat stopped using the M32 box in the puntos when they switched from the 1.9 multijet engine to the 1.6? Because if they didn't I'm probably going to have need of your services at some point cry

Oh and first post so hello to everyone beer

If it's a 6 speed box then chances are it will be the M32. If you PM me some details or contact me via my website I can confirm for you.

Welcome to you too

Yup, 6-speed. No real problems yet although occasionally it doesn't want to go into first from cold but that's only happened a few times in the 7 years I've owned the car.

At the moment it's not something we explicitly cover but we are looking to expand our catalogue in the future
