10 years ago is a long time you know, they have changed a bit from then, and yes each to their own, used to have a alfa 156 GTA 3.2 with electric everything and sat nav etc etc, really comfy and practicle, but im not at the point in my life where i want that, i got bored after 8 months and find the tvr is so much fun, and so much faster!

Good on you mate for that, enjoy the car, just waiting for a test drive in the new S80 V8, megga bucks, cant afford it, but just want the test drive.

Have to say, TVR's are a head turner for me.

Young George Leitch looks after the paintwork and older George does the MOT etc. I can recommend both. Older George still competes regularly and young George runs a very nice Porsche Spyder replica he imported from the States.

Hi Graeme,

Are there options to or have you done anything to stiffen the chassis to cope with the uprated suspension and modern wheels and tyres?

What sort of mpg does it do or is that something you try and not work out

Hi Colin,
The chassis flex on these vettes is a problem, the only thing I have done is to fit a bracing bar between the top front wishbones, which does help. The 18" wheels with modern rubber has made the biggest single impact to the handling, since the only tyres that fit the original 15" wheels are made for transit vans etc. Hardly a performance tyre!

2001 TVR Tuscan 4.0L
Fantastic car It's been a real pleasure to own and drive. I have always loved the individuallity of TVRs and when I found myself in the position of being able to afford and run one I just couldn't resist.

Unfortunatley due to the Police being more interested in stopping people who go a few miles over the speed limit, instead of catching drugies ,burglars, theifs, muggers etc I have to sell it. Its on autorader web site.... I am Gutted.

Soon as I get my Licence sorted out though I'll be back into another TVR..

Ask young George next time you are in there. The vette will be back in in a couple of weeks for its MOT. BTW Older George is an excellent mechanic/engineer not just an MOT jockey, would recomend both to anyone.
