It's been suggested a few times, but it never seems to come to anything. I'd likely be up for it, though.

It's been discussed before, not sure if anything has happened.

Like all events that involve more than one person; set a date, set a place - whoever can make it makes it.

If you know a route then you've got one of the necessary bits of info, your diary will provide the other.

I'm in if I can make the date. driving

yeah this was discussed a while ago but nothing ever came of it, id be up for it depending on work. IIRC northo started a thread about it and hes got a rather nice collection of motors. Maybe better to be in summer though to avoid a deluge? or boxing day?

Yup - I was the last proponent. Never got round to organising it, but it is still on the cards.

I've got a nice 100 mile circular route starting and finishing in Dunkeld. It uses some good roads with amazing scenery. Best done in the spring to avoid the risk of snow and tourists.

The route has a tulip style roadbook that has been checked on a run organised for the Scottish Off Road Club in February (4x4s were essential). This means it can be followed by people in their own time/pace and shouldn't result in a whole gaggle of cars on single track roads together which does annoy the locals a bit.

E-mail me if you want more details.

Would a meet like this be open to any car?

i.e. for those of use with machines a lot more modest than porsches and TVRs

of course...it`s rather elitist to leave anyone out ...my daily driver is not a rocketship ATM ... my machines are `nesting` ATM...

I'd love to come, could somebody with a calendaer and a dart/pen/paint brush tell us when the meet will be taking place?

Yep someone needs to pick a date / time / location and plan a route...

I would be up for most places around the country as long as it was a weekend.

What about Perthshire its in the middle of Scotland so is the most convent? I like the roads there but I'm not picking the route, as it will be my fault as we all study the back of tractors!

PS love your photos stuart
