As many here know, I'm taking/posting a photo a day for a year (from the Highlands). www.stevecarter.com/picaday/picaday.htm

Today's photo I thought some of you might like - obviously two Scottish pilots

Nope... I was up top. Maybe the forthcoming elections prompted some funding from the SNP hehe

Excellent photographs Steve.

There's a place just round the corner from you that's worthy of a photo. or two. Coral beach, whitewashed cottages, blue sea etc.. It's Ardban on the Applex peninsula (GR 700398) on the Toscaig road. You may already know of it ? Leave car at lay by and walk the good track (20 mins) Also well worth walking SW from there to see the ruins at Colliegillie (GR 700387) Great views to Raasay and Skye. Back via the track then into the Applex Inn for some of Mrs Fish's scallops washed down with a Red Cuillin.

One of my favourite places in the world. Take a photo for me if you go.

When I go up that way in the helicopter, some of the views are just amazing. Only thing is, unlike the fixed wing oppo, the natural instability of helo's means I cant take my hands off the controls to snap a shot frown

BTW in Summer it's beautifull, but in winter, it really is just take your breath away type amazing.yes
