Got some cracking pics of the summit of Ben Nevis from the other week if anyone's interested, all snowy etc, took them while flying past on the way back from Oban to Aberdeen......
Still waiting!
Sorry chaps, took the snapshots on my video camera and I'm not quite sure how to get them onto my PC, will have a fiddle this weekend, may even upload a wee video of the flight ABZ-OBAN-ABZ as most of the views are awsome...

Got shares in 2 aircraft at the moment, a C172 based in Aberdeen and a Jet Provost Mk3A based in Newcastle. Yourself ?

Mainly R44 at the minute, though I'm dual rated and current for fixed wing as well with an in date IMC rating. Disregarding the terrible news about Colin for a moment, you never fancy Helicopters?

Terrible news indeed, not really a fan of rotary, too much spinning metal for my liking !!! Did a few hours in R22's which were fun but never took it any further, I enjoy aeros which are a bit tricky in a helicopter !!!

Got my fixed wing CPL and am thinking of doing an instructor rating at some point this year if I can find the time to do some part time instructing......

Fine call on the instructing idea-if you get the rating done, I'd happily use your services. Because I fly so much rotary these days, most of the time I fly fixed wing it's getting revalidated to keep the tickets current. None of the fixed wing schools around here are particuarly 'stable' right now, they all tend to have problems either retaining decent instructors or are full of spotty wee boys who barely disguise the fact they are waiting for the first jet job and hate having to instruct.

As for aero's, well, you could always get Bolkow!

One of the best 'stops' in the helo on the way back from Oban is into here-

www.ardanaiseig.com over at Loch Awe. Just land on the grass in front between the two trees. Great food, great staff.

Gimme a nod if you fancy dropping in sometime. Could catch you at Oban and nip over.
