I got back from the Noble Julia Roberts yesterday and I'm off to Italy on Sunday. I am flying to Rome and then driving to Pescara, I don't know if the job is on land or offshore but I have never been to that part of Italy before so I am looking forward to it.
Is the NJR still a shit hole? Was the first ever rig i was on and it was terrible! 4 man rooms, communal toilets and showers plus the food was basically unedible.

Things could only get better from there!
The NJR is still a shit hole but is due a re-fit soon. Italy was much nicer (I just got back), daylight hours only and a three course meal with beer and wine at lunch(the job still got done safely and on time), very civilised and great people to work with.

You still trying to coerse people into going drinking with you over there, Norweggies no keep up?

And whats that you've replaced the 330 with! My partner in crime Jimmy was looking at a VIII, until he got the insurance quote....biglaugh

Cheers,
Ross
Whatlike Ross, nah the Noggies are useless drinkers when are you back over? towards the end of the year I suspect?
I am out on the BLEO HOLM doing my usual.
I took Jimmy a blast in the car on a few choice back roads just before Rock Ness, the 330 was too boring for me I thought I was going refined in my old age.
By the way how did the guy get on without any handles on his bags on the way home laugh

Craig,

Just saw your port there mate. No plans to head back over that way, maybe next year when the wheels are back in motion, guess you'll know well before me.

Jim was saying he met you, bit a chance meeting that one. He liked your car so much he was 'trying' to get some insurance quotes for a VIII MR, quite comical some of the quotes coming back, and that was without him declaring his month-long temporary retirement from the road! laugh

Yeah, no handled bags, hehe, need to remember that one!

Cheers, Ross

I am off to Norwich tomorrow to go out to the Ensco 70, to help cure some losses, it will be a big shock to the system as I have not been offshore for ages.
