Offshore at the moment?

Well didnt make it to Gabon but Alabama instead! On the Q4000 semi-sub stripping out bits and bobs, were supposed to in a hotel but have ended up living onboard which is a bummer when its sitting in a dock and the bars are in view!

I am in Mobile, finished the job already and dont know whats happening next! Think I am heading to Houston tomorrow to do some work on some modules.

We are due into Mobile on the 2nd July, Then we will have to finish mobilising the boat for the job. We should be in for the 4th July fireworks, Whoo hoo. I joined the boat in Peterhead at the end of May, went to Norway and then a cruise across the pond to the states, So I am gasping for a beer now.

Still in Mobile, done nowt all day apart from play footy on the keyside and eat chilli dawgs and drink Dr pepper!
Getting to go for a beer tonight though, cant wait!

I dont know if you have been there before but Veets bar was always good for a start. Then head up Dauphin street, the Seaman bar is one of the first ones you will pass. It is like the Star Wars bar, a few weird and wonderfull charaters in there. I cant remember the names of the others, but there is a few decent bars up there. If you want to see dancing girls, 10mins in a taxi from Dauphin street will get you to Sammy's. All in all it's a good run ashore.. Enjoy

Was in Veets on sunday night, pretty good and lots of purty southern gals! Just been up on heli deck and its over 100 degrees luckily we are working in a switchroom with air-con!

halfway through my trip and thanks to the bond i bought a pack of fruit gums, upon chewing my way through the last one i managed to dislodge a filling and swallow it. thats the highlight of my week so far.

Aaahh you must be missing me then as I would make sure you had plenty tools hahaha. Aye the Loyd is fine.

Have not managed to make it out there yet as I got bumped till friday. Will have nearly had 4 weeks off lol. Should not really complain but I might have to declare bankruptcy soon with my spending habits
