Discovered yesterday afternoon that some waste of skin has reshaped my bonnet by apparently bouncing up and down on it shootfurious

Car was parked on Rosemount Place on Tuesday night. When I unlocked it on Wed morning I noticed that the alarm had been activated at some point during the night but could'nt see any damage owing to the rain. When I left for work in the afternoon however, it was plain to see cry

Police have been informed and apprantly they have a suspect as it appears my car was not alone. Also, the perpetrator appears to be well known in the area and I was given a rough description of him by the woman who watched him do it and who was subsequently given an earful of Thatcham 2 alarm all night.

Moral of the story: dont park your car in Rosemount Place.

So, does anyone know if its possible to pull dents on a bonnet? or for that matter, a good bodyshop/panel beater in ABZ?

Think I'll be looking at £500 to repair it.

Cock.

Catch them by the nuts, oh wait a minute its plod we are talking about here....... Probably blame you for parking in the wrong place.

Feel for you.

Haven't spoken to plod yet, as apperently there were so many cars involved that they are overwhelmed with statements etc.

If I catch the scumbag in the area (Ms Asbo lives there), then I shall be breaking something of his - most likely his nose.

Sods law aint it? Almost exactly the same thing happened when I tried to sell my Pug in January - although it was me who reshaped the bonnet redface

Going to see if I can sue the little bastid, although he's probably wasted what little money he had on heroine.

The best body shop in the area is Alan Scott near Banchory. He's not the cheapest but his work is second to none.

We used Chips Plus when Broomsticklady 'missed' the steading entrance at MH Racing (actually she hit it, but you know what I mean...). First class service and very reasonable price-wise. Would not hesitate to go back to them.

My sympathy mate. Seems to have been a real spate of this happening lately here. frown

It's such a bummer on many levels:

The actual cost of repairing it.

The inconvenience of contacting police, garages etc.

The sure knowledge that, no matter how well repaired it is, you'll never be happy with it at the back of your mind.

The fact that you will never ever begin to understand the thought processes that instigates this kind of behaviour.

I can (almost) understand someone breaking into a car to nick something. But, to simply vandalise it, thankfully is beyond my comprehension. banghead

Cheers Barry.

Didn't you have your car damaged/broken into recently?

Fortunately the police have a suspect in custody - a local well renound thug who damaged 13 cars in total! and providing they can get a statement from a key witness the lad will go to court.

Gave a statement last night to the police. The PC that came round was a delightful chap and he told me how desperate he was to nail this young thug.

Fingers crossed. If the courts dont get him then I certainly will!

That's so good to hear. Commiserations about the car - malicious damage to things I hold dear for no ing reason at all would really, really p*** me off - but hopefully, something good will come of it this time. Hope the b*stard gets nailed really hard this time. smile

Thats bad news mate, how much is a new bonnet?
You might be cheaper getting a new bonnet and having it painted than paying for the time to repair it?
Im glad i dont have to park in Aberdeen anymore, i think its getting worse for this sort of thing.
