UPDATE:

I've just discovered a Doc Martin Footprint in my roof, accompanyed by two dents furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousfuriousranting

So IB unit is coming round to take a sample of it. I hope to God that they nail this SOB. If I ever see him in Rosemount or anywhere for that matter, I will not be responsible for my actions.

Litte Bcensoredd. Words genuinely fail me.

I used to live on the Perth Road in Dundee. A couple of years ago I was wakened in the middle of the night by repeated cheering on the street. Looked out of my third floor window to see 3 s running over all of the parked cars on the street. I decided to dial 999 and the constabulary were in the immediate vicinity and caught the tts in the act. 20-odd cars were affected. I went out in the morning to see a row of cars with concave bonnetts and roofs. They were drunk students. Not only are we paying for the major part of their education, we will now pay for the repair of their nocturnal criminal activity via insurance premiums.

ScensoredT Simon not good. Aarrgghh people like that should have their feet and hands removed!! On my travels home from Knockhill last night I saw a saxo sitting in a layby on a dualer no houses for at least ten miles but here the poor thing sat completly destroyed!! What makes someone stop and do that?? It's beyond belief. No way it was in an accident going by the glass and mirrors lying on hte ground! Me thinks I will be having sleepless nights in aberdeen this week on that course.

The problem is that even when the little tts are caught the punishment will not fit the crime. If you were to break into a bank and steal £2000 you'd get 5 years, do £2000 damage to someone's motor and you'll get a slap on the wrist. Even if they're caught they will very rarely pay for the damage.

I've been the victim of few such incidents (keying, running over car, wing mirror damage etc) and I very rarely leave my car parked on the street (usually in driveway/garage) which leads me to believe it's very common.

Car crime (theft/vandalism) is seen as a victimless crime because people think the insurance company will cover it all, they don't and if they do you'll be paying increased insurance for the next 5 years. Not to mention the stress & inconveniencce it causes.

The law need to be changed to make this sort of thing to be seen as a serious offence with suitable sentencing.

Cheers for the comments folks.

I actually saw the little scrote yesterday on Union Street - you cant miss him, and the idiot was stupid enough to wear exactly the same clothing as he did when he wrecked my car!

fortunately (or should that be unfortunately) the OT was with me so I wasn't allowed to go and 'have a word' furious

I'll be ringing around for quotes today frown

I'd almost certainly feel it my public duty to re-shaped his boocks with a set of vice grips and my steel toe caps!

idea In fact,... I propose a PHeaders campaign thread to discuss instigating the practice nationally.

GRRRR!
