Hot Marques 22nd June anyone going

Hi Scotty, Glad you liked it. I think I was sitting next to you at some point (damn sure you passed me also which was not hard lol)
I got the cam from here... http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/dogcampro520.htm you can check compatability for your camcorder if you have one. They are very helpful. My camcorder would not take the bullit cam so I bought this http://www.archos.com/products/video/archos_404cam... you can get them without the camera/camcorder built in but hey what can I say I'm a chick who likes gadjets and spending her pennies. This MP4 thingy can be a bit tempramental but the guys at dogcam have other recording devices. Also the mic you get is a bit naff as you can tell from mine. I will be upgrading mic's later (also on the dogcam site)
Hope that was a bit of help. I have to say it is money well spent. I also have a NON-broadcastable clip which has the camera mounted on the roof of a car (on a personal road) at highish speeds and there is no distortion. Web site advises it's good to stay put for 180 or so mph (they ain't lying)
Going to try and get something rigged up to get it mounted on the inside of the car as it is far to easy for someone to come along and remove if left................
What an excuse to buy a rollcage for the porsche.

Vids
http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_1... - InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Nova, Integra, Elise, Noble, Impreza, 911, kit car. The impreza seems to love racing on straights. Was behind him a few times, but he was running quicker on the straights but much slower on the corners LOL

http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_2... InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Cossie Saph, Rage Buggies x3, Mustang, Lambo Murcielago, Impreza, 911, ki car.
Car was handlign well with its new front discs, but developed a horrible blue smoke from the exhaust... i hope its a turbo, not the engine.
See http://trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=...
Hope it didnt hold anyone up in the skyboat whilst trying to solve a few problems on track.... spent about 60% of the time on 'cool down' laps. Its smoking, its not, somethings catching/rubbing, its not LOL.
Looks like the porker will have to be used at the crail trackday now

AMD87,
Yeah RS4 has a full Miltek system just fitted and remapped that day, delivered back just in time for the track night, owned by my mate John. Some more live mapping during the week to squeeze what they can out of it.
Sounds like something a lot more expensive with a tubi or something fitted, but then i am biased as i love RS4's
Tempted to look at a Miltek for my 997 turbo, have been listening to sound bites on some websites but to be honest it does not sound that impressive compared to the RS4

Ah that would have been Claire. From Dreadnought they do the work on my car. She had told me she had her stang round the track. Hers was an easier to manage manual. Not like my boring auto box lol. Before I went out I had heard there was an Aston out there. That made me even more nervous!!! Felt better once he had passed me Andrew

All, good pics as usual, including Andy's regular footage, it's like our own personal camera man!!
Scotty, the 997 sounded mega as it passed the pit wall!
Anyway, Scotty will say hello next time when I bring the Murci back up, and Avril will try and make the next one if your there will says hello.
I agree it was a bit busy with a few basket cases, but all in all a good night. I got stuck in traffic so nearly didn't get on. I think most people know the rules, if your feeling that you should let a car pass then do so especially if your just out or cooling down.
Who else is driving what in the vids?
Paul

I came up to KH last night with my 993 C2S (nice pic of the fat-ass on AMD87's photobucket collection-page 2), which remained in the car park (helmet in the car...just in case, however it was too busy for me. I counted 38 cars in the pitlane when the red flag came out at about half-time). I was observing your turbo and I have to say that there is not much to change in terms of (obviously) its presentation, but the sound your car makes as it accelerates out the pitlane/changes gear as it passes the pit wall is quite tremendous. I love the loud rasp of the 996/997 turbos as they put power to the tarmac. Try letting someone else drive your car while you watch/listen.Nice 993, reminds me of my 993 C4S god I loved that baby!!!!
I agree with the lesser value cars thing, I mean it's suppose to be split into higher value on thos nights, and lower value on the other night they do. Maybe thats why the don't get more Porsche Ferrari and Lambo's. I mean last week there was 8 Lambo's, 5 911's, 6 Ferrari's and a few other nice models at the Sytner nigth, so they do exist and these guys enjoy a track night!!

All very well.... There is no in between night. Hot Marques (over 10k) and speed sunday.....
Speed sunday is prob better now, but i wouldnt want to take my car on with them just yet. It may look a shed, but its had a fair bit spent on it. The R32 GTR
You'll find thats its more drivers people have a problem with , rather than cars! I had my old track Corsa on a Hot Marque night (bought for 700 (shell) but had about 20k wasted on it through time). There were no complaints what so ever. I did check with Knockhill first and they mentioned it was more to do with driving standards than car value.

In reply to Vantage91, if you were meaning me, Ross (rwhc2000), then I use a Nikon D200. On Friday night I used a combonation of Nikon 17-55mm F2.8 and Sigma 100-300 F4 lenses. I had a tripod with me, but did not use it. Wasn't sure if there would be enough light to use the big lens, but just upped the ISO a little and it seemed to work OK. If anyone wants high-res copies, just let me know and we'll work something out (files can big for emailing). Cheers, Ross

Thanks Paul, yeah a few people have likened it to a jet going by, will need to trust 1 of my mates to cane it up the straight so i can have a listen. Will take your advice Hugoc2s and hear it go by a few times.Anyway, Scotty will say hello next time when I bring the Murci back up
Please do pop over Pal, would love to see inside the Murcielago, stunning motor, have to confess to being a complete Lambo fanatic. It would be cracking to get some good video footage of us 2 round the track.
My 997 was nearly the black Gallardo at Edinburgh, i saw it the day i went through to pick the Porker up and nearly told them to ram it as the Gallardo was the same money. Wife would cut my nads off as no seats for the wee man (Well unless i divorce her then 2 seat is fine for when i get him at weekends...lol)
Looking forward to the next Sytner night at KH the guys are promising to drop me a line.
Scotty

Scotty, let me know if you need a good divorce lawyer as I might have used one by then if she keeps telling me to sell the Murci!! Only kidding.
Do you think they will do another Sytner night then Scott?
TBH a 997 TT is probably the route I'll go down in 6 months, just need a bit of Murci-time and then we'll see, it's so hard to think if someone bought it from me then I'd not have it, and that would be aweful, but swings and roundabouts, I'm sure I'd get another not long after.
I have a good DVD Cam Scott, and need to get a new window mount but as I plan on getting it this week or next I'll have it for the next night I'm sure. We just need a follower!!
Oh and Gareth, thanks for moving over into the hairpin, most people would have just held the line, sorry if I was hassling you into the bend in anyway.
