Ok folks, good to get some positive responses.

I'll be having a proper look into it in the next few days to give an idea of costs etc.

Will likely be taking the camping option as a) I prefer it and b) its cheaper thumbup

As amusing a proposition as that sounds, i doubt very much others users of the 'ring would appreciate being choked to death in diesel smoke! Plus it handles like a boat, has crap brakes and isn't really that quick. Though it would be good for the drive down, leather, climate, decent stereo, cruise, plenty of space... scratchchin

Bugger it, if i pass my bike test this week, i'll just go on that instead hehe

Just back from le Mans, heading off to the 'Ring in late August.

Interested, will probably do Ring/Le Mans combined for next year: Ring first or last?
No idea Richard. I'm open to suggestions though. Perhaps Ring 1st? (Although I envisage everyone else in Europe doing this format too)

Have you done the 'Ring before?
Last May, 7 TVR's, VX220 and a 944S. Just excellent.
Richard - was it a white 944?

Ed, yes, Ross at the helm. Are you going to join us next year?

Would love to but it may be difficult for me to get away - busiest time of year and all that.

can i ask a a daft queastion are there any cars that are not allowed on the ring ? as i heard that chaterham types were not allowed (thinking of getting a westie for next year and this)
The car has to be road legal, because it's a public road, but other than that, and the noise restictions, there are no limits. There were a number of Caterhams out when I was there last week.
