130 this last time, hitting the 6k rev limiter in 4th, soon the 7k limit will be ok, when it's fully run in.

Speedo? What is a speedo?

Possibly 130-140mph, the window started vibrating violently and it hadn't done it before and I changed to 5th and it was going some...pulling away from racing sierra cosworths.

It doesn't matter how quick you go down the straight, its how fast you go round corners and how low your lap time is.

I am reliably informed that 130 is very quick under the bridge. The Scuderia Ecosse 430 GT cars were hitting roughly 145 (so I am told) at last years Motorfair. The Koenigsegg was doing around the same speeds with a decent driver behind the wheel. Don't know what speed I was making in the car as a.) too scared to look and b.) cant't read the speedo at 30, let alone 130!

Last time at Knockhill - 1982 - in ex-Donald Heggie Mk 1 RS 2000, managed 115 under the bridge in fourth. Unfortunately, as a result of brake (brain) fade wasn't doing much less when entering the hairpin on the same wet lap and had an embarrassing excursion into the kitty litter!

According to my passenger I was hitting the far side of 110 in the Bimmer which seems about right to me.

In my purpose built spaceframe race car, 10 inch slicks, mid engined etc, etc.

A speedo on a race car is a waste of energy, I put a piece of tank tape over my speedo of my XR2 racer, it scared me too much.

In the one track day I have done where the weather was torrential rain I just hit 100-105mph on the main straight. That was with major traction problems though coming out of the hairpin in the wet with a high power FWD car. In the dry I reckon I'll be able to hit 110mph.

on my mates leon cupra remapped to 215bhp he was getting 105 going under the bridge.

its now currently at star performance getting a forge motorsport FMIC and a GT28RS turbo upgrade, should have over 100bhp more than before.

paul im pretty sure i seen just over 130mph when i was in your lambo.

fastest ones ive seen at knockhill was an MTM/Star performance B5 RS4 and an MRC S2 both did over 130 going under the bridge.

The Chim seems to be around 125-130. I brake quite early i think ( and i probably dont have much speed comming out the hairpin ), but have defo topped 130 before braking for the corner. To busy/scared/focused ( delete depending on current road position .. ) to look down at that point tbh !

100 to 75 yards, but now with the new wider track apparently you don't have to change down or brake hard.

Knockhill! If you take the racing line round the 1st corner, just tap the brakes and don't need to change down. I haven't had the ball to try that yet, I still brake where I used to before the track was widened.
