Another great days racing done, shame about the weather though.

It was quite eventful for us Marshalls anyway.

See you all tomorrow.
yeah, them evo's sure do hold alot of oil. well at least the ones without the big holes do.

not to eventful at the finish though, apart from them censored wits that started walking up the straight!!!!!!

the lack of chips at dinner time too. hope the fryer is sorted for tomorrow.

see you there. smile

eta start line for me tomorrow please. even just for a little bit.

At least you didnt have to run up and down the hill for most of the day, i suppose it's good exercise.

Well that's defo one of the best motorsport weekends I've had - in the top ten anyway.

Top job GAC - the site was prepared really well and the new surface is great ... when it's dry. wink

Excellent craic in the paddock with Lenny and the other lads in our class - cheers fellas. smile

I didn't used to like Fintray very much and I've explained precisely why on here in the past.

U-turn time ... roll on next May!

Good effort GAC and thanks again to all the marshals.

Drive of the weekend? For me, it has to be Les on Saturday - first road car under 30! ... even though Craig N did go even faster shortly afterwards.

Cheers,

Eric smile

I agree with the above! Was my first event at Fintray and a good one, even if we were struggling during practice! if only it had been sunny at the start and not when we were packing up!

Thanks to the Marshals and everyone who came over for a look at our car (Mini Pick-up), see you at the ADMC sprint at Alford!

marshalled at hairpin both days.

Slow start to Saturday which was always going to happen with new surface and the weather. Picked up well despite the weather.

Sunday, weather not withstanding, a good day, drivers on the whole VERY well behaved considering the 'slippery' conditions, minimal delays.

'Low-lights' - GW's starter motor breaking;
Ronnie breaking A2 record in practice but not repeating in in afternoon - both he and the car can do it shame he didn't get the record;
John S's Scoob not wanting to play;
NAE CHIPS FOR LUNCH ON SATURDAY!

Highlights - JR's first run on Saturday into hairpin - tail out on the way in perfect on way out;
Brims' disregard for the fact he's in a single seater not a MK2 Escort;
Drew Murray's performance throughout;
the perfection of the Elan Sprint;
the sound of the Robb Pilbeam starting with me looking down the exhaust;
Craig's showboating when he'd messed up a run;
Les's look of a total lack of control EVERY time he came into hairpin before calmly scooting round;

the engine note of the diesel V8 ambulance......

The "old Blue Nissan" (Pulsar GTi) certainly pulls well out of the hairpin.

Big thanks to all marshals...great job!!! Also well done to GAC for a well run event. Really enjoyed it and the cameraderie in the paddock. Also great to see a good turn out of spectators. Keep up the good work folks.
