Hi Guys and Girls too!

There seems to be a lot of posts on here lately about car detailing, and what people think about it and is it worth it?, so I thought I would show you some shots of the work just done on my TVR Griffith. To the people out there who think it is just another carwash, think again!

I used Alistair at 360 complete detailing who has done an excellent job on both of my cars. To complete the work on the TVR, (which was not in too bad condition before) he turned up at 08.30 after making sure that he saw the car in advance first to agree a price and work required, and worked solidly until 20.45. Can't knock the guy for the hours he put in!

Every single aspect of the car has been painstakingly cleaning from top to bottom, with an attention to detail that beggers belief. eg. all badges, headlamps and trims are masked up before polishing, all carpets removed and cleaned outside, the hood material shampood and waterproofed, the leather treated, everything you can think of!

Here are some 'after' pictures:

Bear in mind that this is the original paintwork which is 11 years old now, and you can see just how good a set of results you can get from this effort.

To cap it off, I got a three page breakdown of the work done and materials used, as well as a disck showing digital pictures of every stage of the process done on the day.

Total, proffesional job, would not hesitate to reccomend him to anyone who wants to revive their pride and joys!

and, no. I am not on commision!

I was following the other detailing thread with interest - including the very funny url for "Dishes Detailing"

http://www.sniffpetrol.com/2007/08/13/car-geek-det...

Anyway, having seen your pics I've booked Alistair to do his stuff on my Tamora.
If anyone else is like me (i.e. initially sceptical but happy to be convinced by hard evidence) then come along to the Callander Classic Car show on Sunday 26th and see the end result for yourself!

Hi Neil,

Alastair came back yesterday and worked on my everyday car as well, also excellent job.

If anybody needs to see my car it will be at Alford this weekend at the TVR, MG, Triumph, Lotus and Aston Martin meeting, lets see how the finish holds up after some spirited driving!

Cheers
Ian

Well, I've just had my Tamora detailed by Alistair of 360complete.net.

.......... I'm gobsmacked .............!!!!

I expected the car to look good. But I wasn't prepared for just how good it looks now:

It is amazing what 10 hours (yes 10 hours!!), a shedload of polish and a bucketful of dedication can achieve.

If anyone wants to see it "in the flesh" so to speak, then it'll be at Callander on Sunday. Probably with a million bugsplats, but that's life.....

(Edited to realign picture links to save screenspace - I hope)

I bumped into Alistair at the Callander Show (I think he was checking that my car was still presentable...!)
Anyway, he mentioned that he'd be doing another TVR - so I offered to post some pictures for him.
Its taken me a while to find the time, but here it is. Better late than never.

Yellow TVR

As a final observation from me on this topic, I have never really been a fan of cleaning my car but now that I've seen what can be done - whether by Alistair, the Extreme Detail blokes, or Polished Bliss etc - I now feel obliged to keep it clean. Its like a new car again.
