Can anyone recommend a good alloy refurb/repair service around Aberdeen? My offside front needs a little bit of TLC...

Good recommendation but I was talking with Stuart a couple of nights ago and I'm afraid that he is not doing body/paint any more. Stuart did an exceptional 'back to bare bones' job my BMW E24 back in 2002 and Baz is now in Australia.

Are there any landrover specialists known. Preferably near glasgow area but im happy to travel.

May have an EGR/crankcase filter issue with the car so would like it checked out by a trusted garage.

Good topic, I have noted down a few garages listed. I currently use Dreadnought Garage to service my Caterham CSR who provide excellent service but such a long drive from Aberdeenshire. Can anyone recommend a good Garage for servicing Caterhams in Aberdeenshire? JD Engineering seem to crop up a few times on this list.

FWIW I have dealt with the following and have had good experiences:

  • Dreadnought - Brian Luti is very passionate about his work
  • Kenneth Brown - honest, helpful, no-nonsense, reasonable pricing
  • Gerry @ Performancetek for an engine replacement - very helpful, honest, good communication

Speak to Scotty at Motorwerks. They send them down south for the actual work but five day turn around and very reasonable. Did a great job with my Exige wheels...

Their website seems to be down though...

Just had my M3 serviced by Davy at BM Motors. I'd highly recommend. Cheap, and you get to watch the work getting done.

Gemm 4x4 (Falkirk/Larbert) really know their stuff, nothing they don't know or can't fix on landrover or Rangerover. Have used them for various vehicles over last 7 years.
Speak to George or Bobby.

Is that the place you can see from the train between Stirling and Falkirk Grahamston? I guess it probably is because there was some selection of landrovers and other vehicles - some intact, some not! - and it looked like a goo, proper workshop smile

Surprised no-one's mentioned Ronnie Weaver for BMW in Cathcart, Glasgow. More than happy with the work he did for me, and he seems to get good reviews.
Ditto - was excellent when he was looking after my old M3 a few years ago. Very friendly guys who really knew their stuff. Also very reasonable.

Anybody know which of RPM / Motortune would be my best bet for looking after my newly acquired 996TT??
