Surprised no-one's mentioned Ronnie Weaver for BMW in Cathcart, Glasgow. More than happy with the work he did for me, and he seems to get good reviews.
Ditto - was excellent when he was looking after my old M3 a few years ago. Very friendly guys who really knew their stuff. Also very reasonable.

Anybody know which of RPM / Motortune would be my best bet for looking after my newly acquired 996TT??
depends what your looking for i think, motortune would be my prefered choice but his schedule is tight, where if you want to be in and out rpm usually have a bit of time to juggle

I haven't used RPM but have used Motortune for many years over several marque's - good to deal with and not too hard on the pocket.

Same as above, but with BMW. They looked after my M3 for a couple of years. The guys are spot on, great prices, but most importantly honest!

Duncan is the man to speak to!

Not too far from Glasgow and he or his wife will often drop you off / pick you up at the station if need be.

Also use Detail Ecosse in Aberdeen who detailed 3 of my cars and i can highly recommend and will use again.

Not sure on the address but the website is www.detailecosse.co.uk based in Newmachar just outside Aberdeen.

The chap there Gavin also offers long and short term vehicle storage soemthing which i couldnt find in Aberdeen up until i got him to detail my cars, ill be leaving my fleet of cars with him for six months while travelling.

Yes, i would second that for Duncan at Hypertech. Really nice guy and honest - we won't rip you off. I haven't used him for a few years after i sold my Jap stuff.

Remapping - Mark who is Scottish agent for www.eliteremaps.co.uk is really good and very well priced. Done a few cars/vans from p/heads and will do you a good deal if you mention p/heads. Based in Falkirk area, but is mobile and will travel.

Porsche - Stuart based in central belt is a true specialist and obsessed by perfection. Does inspection if you are looking at buying, or will get your porker running properly. Contact him if you doubt what i'm saying, he will look after your car like it is his own. He is on p/heads forum as stup or pm me and i'll give you his number.

Hi

For any work, particularly Mercedes I can't recommend Alan at Carluke MOT Centre enough, genuinelly what this guys doesn't know about Mercs isn't worth knowing, always honest and does not rip you off, best of all no matter when you call he always fits you in and gets it sorted. If someone can say this even after one of his guys reversed their car into the Eurocarparts van they must be good!! lol.

Alan, get the freelander booked in to Gemm 4x4 in Larbert, they will fix it no problem. Ask for Bobby or George 01324 557735. They normally work late until around 7pm most nights, although they are only open some Saturday morning. I know them very well and have used them for around 8 years. If you need directions let me know.
