Just to prove there are still some customer orientated garages out there that give top service.

Yesterday my Wife took the car into "The Garage" Whitburn West Lothian to have the 19" Wheels taken off and put the winter wheels on.

Due the locking wheel nut key not being in the car (It was in the house, its a new car so she never thought) Ian really went way beyond the call of duty to find her and sort it out. All for 20quid. Top bloke and great garage.

I know Ian well, has looked after my cars since he took over the running of the place, recommended.

Gray and Adams, Fraserburgh. Quite expensive but top quality body and paintwork. In the past, Agra in Banff have done some impeccable machining work.

Any ideas on a PDR guy in Aberdeen? - the recommended bloke from Dent Devils appears to have moved on. For a 13 reg car, paint feels fine, so hoping to keep it PDR!

Hi Guys,
I'm new to posting on this site but have been a PH follower for some time.
I recently needed to have the after cat exhaust sensors changed on my M3 e46.
Having read the notes here on PistonHeads, I took my car to Central Garage in Glenkindie. Although it is approx 40 minutes from Aberdeen, the route through the countryside is enjoyable. Dave and his wife offer a most welcoming reception. Dave gives an excellent knowledgeable service.
Should anything else on my M3 need attention, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Any recommendations for a garage that can service and repair a Caterham in Aberdeen? Tried a few but generally they aren't interested. There is a chap in Huntly called Ricky Gauld but it's a fair distance away.

I have a recurring problem starting and it is driving me crazy....

Cheers

Have a word with John Bruce a JD Motors in Insch 01464 821151.

John looked after my Caterham over the 3 years I owned it, a fair few of Aberdeenshire's Caterham owners use him. He now looks after my Sunbeam Lotus.

Cheers,
Ian.....

I'm looking for someone in Aberdeenshire that can change a cambelt and a dephaser pulley on a Renault Clio 182. Nearest official Renaultsport people are in Inverness which is a fair old way away from me. Anyone got any ideas?

My bro-in-law Dave at the Central garage, Glenkindie would do it. Tel 07816 760061.

Mark - for the M3 you also have Scott Feaks at Premier Motors in town and Kev Arthur at Bridge of Don Garage. Both ex BMW M mechanics and both very highly thought of by the BMW contingency. I use both for all of the maintenance on my Z4M.

Hi Folks,

Looking for a place in and around aberdeen/shire who could do a good job on my 172 PH2 and change the thermostat and subsequently bleed the coolant. I know its a straighforward enough job and I have the parts etc but just not the time or somewhere to do it for the foreseeable so any recommendations are welcome.

I have been to some garages in the past up here that have been funny about working on a Renaultsport (snobs lol)

Give my school mate Craig a call, he owns Hatton Garage and sure he wouldn't have any issues working on Renault's smile

I've just had the bonnet repainted on my electric orange Focus ST by Peter Wilson at Prestige Car Bodies in Cockenzie, East Lothian, after seeing him recommended on a few older threads here on PH. He's done a great job with it (and it is not an easy colour to paint!), and judging by the pictures of his past projects he showed me, he seems to do a lot of very high quality in-depth restoration work on classics as well as day-to-day stuff.

I've had very bad experiences with, let's say, the less professional end of the market in East Lothian with past cars, so I'm delighted to have found someone who really knows what they're doing! His website is at:

http://www.prestigecarbodies.com/

(His site is quite out of date - they no longer do vinyl wrapping, the guy who did that left).

Anyone know of a garage/workshop that will reseal a headlamp.
I've got a pretty bad fogged up headlamp with no visible damage, so I suspect it is the seal......

Does anyone know any tyre places in Glasgow that will put on some part worn 20inch tyres?
I've emailed mobile fitters, googled and walked into about 10 places.
Few do tyre changes of that size and those that do won't put on part worn.

Can anyone recommend a good garage to work on my Westfield Megabusa (BEC) with hayabusa engine? I don't fancy driving to Skottish KitCar Centre so Aberdenshire if preferable
