Who has been this year?

i was there today for 4 hours. Got free Beer, Golf balls, millions of pens and stress balls. met a couple of interesting folk and had a general natter.

Also saw the La mans audi diesel. What a size! Couldn't actually believe the size of it!

SO what are your most treasured freebies from the event?

Was going to go but to be honest just couldn't be bothered in the end!

Shame, could have done with some golf balls!

Just been across and it looks like everyone else has been there already biggrin Not much left now apart from a few pens and every variety of mint available!

Managed to pick up some small koala bears from Santos though, and a pack of playing cards from Jetair with an out of date telephone number in it wink

I was there just for general interest and looking at what's happening in the future since I'm going into 3rd year geology. Probably the best freebie I got was a leatherbound notebook thing. Also got one of the Kola's and heaps of pens as well as a beer or two. Was really good in my opinion.

Most amusing bit for me was the Halliburton stand, where they had this interactive role play, real time operations measurement/support thing going on, with four dudes going

“Yeah, we’re really enjoying this highspeed data stream here at the office, you guys are doing an amazing job saving us 10% NPT per well”,

“That’s great guys, the way we are increasing productivity by $10m is making the client very happy….!....”

and such w@nk.... One of the guys (no name to protect the innocent) looked like he was about to kill himself laughing at the w@nkness of it all.

The best bit however was that one of his real time screens was actually displaying the Pistonheads site!! Haaha!

Cheers,

Tom.

I had a couple of beers and picked up a bottle opener keyring.
