I won't be down due to the £10/11 entry for spectators.
I dont think they will get many paying spectators at that price.Scottish Championship car racing is on at Knockhill on Sunday and the entry fee there is £12 or £10 if booked in advance.
I also think they have lost a few entries due to the £120 entry fee. (e.g. me)

Don't know about the spectator entry fee but at a Sprint / Hillclimb committee meeting the subject of entry fees was raised, a little informal research done and I am pleased to say that Lothian have listened to the 'revolting peasants' (my words, not theirs!!) and I understand the entry for June and September next year will be in the region of a much more reasonable £100. Don't know about April tho. So it is worth moaning - it just has to be done to the right people!!
ETA - right people - which isn't always me!!
Opps - actually Broomsticklady's post ... but he's hijacked my id often enuf ... Revenge is mine, sayeth BSL ...

Glad I didn't make the trip to Spa - what a heap of shite.
Sad I didn't make it down the road.
So how did it go?
Did the Predator run?
Did Wallace's DJ go without gear change or mis-fire probs?
Did Drew have his cam pos'n sensor probs from Golspie sorted?
Were there ant Radicals?
Was JR 4th?
Cheers,
Eric

From a purely personal point of view!
The Good...
The venue!! Superb, well organised, a real challenge to drive.
Lots of exciting battles resolved, like the Road Car Division and big saloon class.
The Predator running – even if to retire with a broken gear – at least it started!!
Mr Mutch Senior beating Mr Mutch Junior.
The Broomstick being returned to its rightful owner quite happy with his passengers for the weekend, and with said passengers being impressed with Broomstick!
The Bad ...
The catering!! £1.50 for a cup of tea, £4.80 for a cardboard burger and chips!! No veggie burgers!!
The weather!! (Even that comes second in the bad stakes to the catering!!)
The unexplained manner in which 9 cars (marque and historic classes) were deprived of an acclimatising practice on the Sunday morning. OK, it was unofficial practice, but given the dramatic change in conditions from the Saturday, in my humble opinion depriving these cars of their practice (which would have taken max 15 minutes) due to the treacherous conditions (?) actually made it more dangerous for those drivers than had they been allowed to practice. And it’s not as if time was that tight – 20 minutes was spent on a presentation, and then we had over a hour for lunch – go figure!!
The Ugly ...
David!! His wet time of 60.27 was dangerously close to my best wet time!! Tho' he did have brand new wet tyres, which he and Mike Jolly were raving about!! Methinks I have to raise my game for next year!!

Wallace - don't know - looked very happy all weekend!!
Drew - very happy cos did a 48 on Saturday and 53 in wet!!
No Radicals - they don't do hills - only REAL men do the hills!
JR was in a quandary - had just got car on trailer when sun started coming out!! Main thing about JR was his hair cut - had to be seen to be believed!! rumour also has it he may be seen in a kilt (knees permitting!) at THE dinner dance in November - tickets available from me!!

Quite . . . I also wonder whether any of the brit champ guys were at the drivers briefing where it was mentioned that driving at 40mph through the paddock in the pissing rain was NOT OK . . . as commented on by a number of people . . . none of us like getting wet boys but I'd rather get wet than kill someone . . .The omission of practice caused at least one driver I know to abort the whole weekend and go home . . . granted the weather didn't help, but fair's fair ffs . . . everybody pays the same to enter . . .
