Saw a convoy of Audi's (assume Quattros) between Tomintoul and Grantown on Sunday. Looked like they were having fun.

Also saw a yellow Westfield on the same stretch - flashed but I was in the wife's Disco3. wobble

Anyony here?

Cheers,

That be me smile 3 local boys and two chaps from central belt. Dry day so thought i would introduce them to the joys of the Alford, Lecht, Dufftown, Rhynie run... stopped at the Lecht for lunch.. grand day out

edit:: yep all quattro's from an S8 to a 250k 90 quattro

did you see us "parked" at the side of the road? That would be when the S8 spun, very slight damage and learning how close the verge is in a big car. scary moment.

We saw the Westie as well and a Trevor, where you in any/either of those?

I'm afraid I was driving Steph's Disco at the time so we were quite inconspicuous (SP?).

I would also have been driving rather slowly due to having, on board, a dog with a high centre of gravity. biggrin

We were heading for the clay shooting place at Glenlivet.

Cracking day for a run it was. yes

can usually remember cars on the road, were you going the same direction as us or the other way? Was a lovely day for a run indeed, very dry, clear and roads not too busy. Although we did pass a serious amount of dead pheasants on one section...

Should have given a toot or wave, perhaps you did and i never noticed, also highly likely. I was in the front car, dark blue coupe quattro. i fancied Applecross/Torridon that day but a few of the others needed home early... blouses!

Are you into the clay pigeon shooting then? Lenny and myself have been known to indulge, have been to Glenlivet beautiful in the sun, always found the targets a tad hard but good craic.

Derek,

It's something I once thought I could be good at ... not any more - I was shite!

Went with Sam but we just did DTL. Didn't keep score but he beat me hands down.

Excellent facility there and the people were really nice and helpful ... and patient.

I don't think I'll be making the Olympic squad for 2012 but maybe a siblings challenge could be arranged.

BTW, if you're speaking to yer brither, tell him I'm not ignoring him. I'll respond to his emails / messages / texts as soon as things become a little less mental for me.

Cheers,

noted for next time Ian, would have been a pleasure! half planning a trip to applecross but with the darker nights looming i would want to do it on the excuse of scenery. *cough* lie to wife... fair line up of cars on your profile.

it was a group from audifans, but its by no means a clique more the merrier smile if i had put my head together properly should have just posted it up here... to be honest i just really like that road, wife bans me from "enjoying it" on parent visiting trips.

Was that you I spotted on the Bridge of Dee heading south at about 17.05 last night? I was in the Blue Bimmer M3. Would have waved had I spotted you earlier, but by brain was fried from another torturous day at the ofice laugh
