Any more Stuart?

Here is may Black Flag moment. Overtook on the wrong side!

You got black flagged for that!! You could have drove a bus up the inside of him.

hehe

Pity the Gallardo didn't go on track, and was parked in the pit lane (which you needed a pass to see it).

Stuart

I had a pass to the pitlane. The Gallardo really was beautiful. Nice photos smile

The Ferrari spider LX04 you have a pic of there was doing some cheeky little slides at the hairpin. Also saw the 550 do a rather less dignified but nonetheless entertaining slide. An excellent day.

Was your black flag fairly early on? I wondered what had caused the flag. Saw a few interesting overtakes during the day...

In the 2nd session about 10.45

Mike and me got fed up waiting behind the silver Turbo S lap after lap.

He would move over on the straight then floor it.

SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW through the twisties.

He got the line all wrong here so it would have been rude not to accept!

It was the very experienced group and he should not have been in it.

We had a word with the organiser and it did not happen again.

Did have to sit out the session on the naughty boy step though.

What was Mike driving? Were you driving the red CS?

The red 964 RS and the white 73 RS(3.6)

I had a problem with the battery failing and was in the blue scripped 968 CS in the afternoon.

Yeah, I remember seeing you out a few times. The white 73 RS was going well. I liked the look of the 968 CS you were in. I got some good pictures of it when I was hanging around at the hairpin.

How did you get on with the battery? Is it a problem you've had before? Certainly a great looking car.

Just need to buy a new race battery. Jump start fixed it but I blew a fuse and lost ABS, speedo, and tailspoiler. I hope it is just the fuse!

Have not looked at it yet.

I really enjoyed the day today.

Many thanks to Paul for taking me out in the 73 RS - what a car. The levels of grip were amazing, as was the sound. The experience will live with me for a long time ; )

Silver Turbo S. He was the one that got me black flagged! I thought he had disappeared! I didn't get held up!

I had an excursion at Duffus right left and round we go. No damage and just cold tyres and jumping from no power steering RS to CS.

I must do a slower warm up lap to get the cold tyres up to temp. Went out in front of the nutters in the black group so was pushing a bit much! :O)

Had my first track day yesterday. What a blast. Took a couple of sessions (and heart stoppers) to learn about the track and the car but feel I got the hang of it by the 3rd session. The white EVO in my group was a good marker, thrashed me at the beginning but I could keep ahead by the end.(10 out of 10 for his spin off and re-entry just before Butchers on the first session - I was still trying to recover from my opposite lock through Seat curves). I Had plans for the blue / white GT3 RS in the last open session but these plans were very brief as he disapeared off over the horizon, wonder what he was lapping at. Banter was great. Cant wait for another. - Andy - 360 Spider

So you were driving the Spider shown above then? If so, nice work, you had some great exits to the hairpin! smile

yes, the hairpin was great fun. I switched off the traction control just before entry and gave it some, mindful that if I forgot to swich it back on before the end of the straight it would probably be lights out. I think I was nearly at the pit lane before I got it tamed on a lap on the 2 o clock session. If anybody has any decent photos etc etc - regards - Andy
