My mother came from Barnet and I spent 2 years staying with my gran there, I spent 6 years working/living with the most bigoted bunch of morons from all over Kent and the South Coast. I don't think there is one single English/Scottish jibe that I haven't heard; and they all bore me to tears.

But aside from that: 'Huge' : member for 90 months & Pistonheads member 260. You must have been here fighting over available lines with GetCarter when this place was a Bulletin Board accessed by a 2400bps modem

I luckily escaped the tight-fisted/sheep-shagger jibes and actually had a petty good time of it.....however my wife is English so I guess my daughter might experience what you went through.....but only if she moves "dahn saff"

You’re the first Scot iv heard admit to that I spent a year over there singing the praises of Dr Howard Walter Florey. Someone told me their teacher was telling them all the thing the Scots invented (and gave away) it was amazing. I heard a speech form the governor of some big intuition saying that a prominent philosopher once said in terms of western culture the world once looked 2 Scotland for inspiration as to how society should be run. And u resisted the romans as well that’s not a bad effort. So tell the poems not to be so arrogant and be more graceful winners in sport.

Big stink recently when our local theatre in Berwick (England)stated that they were applying to Scottish Borders Council (Scotland)for a grant to help subsidise said theatre.The reason,they said,was that 42% of their patrons were Scottish and why should Berwick Council pay for a facility for the Scots ?
Lots of political reversing when somebody pointed out that without aforementioned 42% they would have had to close years ago !....not surprisingly SBC told them to poke it where the Sun doesn't shine.
With thinking like that ,its no wonder the good people of Berwick want to return Gods Country......
