Picking up from a mention in a post from Stang; is it not now about time that the calendar/schedule for the Scottish contingent on PH was kicked off?

Yes; the krautwagen passed its MOT last week and the insurance is half the price it was last year woohoo

So some ideas to get the ball rolling:

North West - 'GetCarter'Land.

West Coast - Inverarary / Oban / Glencoe way.

North East - Anywhere from Aberdeen heading West across to the A9 (not the A9 itself though please!) and Braemar and maybe down South to Dundee / Perth region. I hardly know this region so this could be any eye opener for me

South West - Dumfries and Galloway / Ayrshire - really is an undiscovered gem here, I'm happy enough to help draw up a route for this.

South East - Borders and the Moffat loop, well the bikers love this region. This could be combined with the South West.

Could also combine some of these days out with visits to Knockhill or a meet up at Kames.

I'll leave this now for those more reliable and organised than I.

biggrin Excellent Idea.

I will post up the Highland Hoon on a separate thread to kick it off.

Likewise. The Moffet run is always a good giggle and close enough for Edinburgers to realistically do in an evening.

I live central so could most of them.
Inverary and Glencoe is nice, only problem is lots of cops looking for bikers at the weekends.

getcarter country.

sigh, i miss the old car... loch maree, had some lovely runs with a few quattro pals over the lecht and back via aberlour/dufftown. great wee restaurant on the backroad between aberlour and Rhynie. What its called i have utterly no idea.

edit: just looking at he post, scotland is a pretty place, much as the west coast has amazing roads, the scenery still blows me away.
