Rather chuffed! 285bhp 300lb ft so it's on the low boost setting in this weather!

Big step up in power so being sensible, the cars mint, 107k, very little rust, 2 previous owners, original stereo.

Rather chuffed!
Fine choice sir (assuming it's a manual)

Spot on Dave, that looks clean. You're wrong about the bodykit though biggrin

Keep it looking simple and make it go like a scalded cat.

That is very nice! Will keep an eye out for you, although I won't be venturing out in the car too much in this weather hehe

I imagine your insurance is a tad eye watering Rod?

About £260 to swap from the MX5 to that until mid feb on my existing policy. It will be pricey when it comes to renewal but i'd rather pay a bit more and have this than pay a stupid premium on the MG or such because I seem to be a target for tools to hit!

Only thing I may do bodywork wise is paint the number plate surround at the rear and open up the front bumper (simple mod and helps keep it cool!)

And yeh, It's a tad mental biggrin

I'm envious, Rod - that's what I want after my MX5 too!

Learn to drift it properly then put a BGW on it... Ypu'll need to hide it from PH forever, but it's what I would do!! hehe

Well we're having a mini TSG meet at Union Square this Friday, pop along if the weather isn't too bad!

Lovely. I fancied one of those a while ago, but ended up buying an Impreza.

May possibly do a couple drift days but will be going for a fast road setup as opposed to drfit slag. Clean and mean wink

Give that man a medal.

Always wondered how well these could be made go properly rather than slowly sideways. Get a build thread up so we can find out.

smile It's all well and good having a car that can flick sideways at the drop of a hat with 80 degree lock and daft camber, but maybe on a £500 BMW hehe not this thing. Want to be able to drive it without being worried what it's going to do.

They can go pretty fast sideways too smile If you do one of the SXOC Crail trackdays next year, there's a left hander you can skid in 4th and link into a 3rd gear right hander...

Looks excellent Rod, I've had a few 13s (including my current Silvia with a 14a face) and driven several 14s but never actually owned one....yet. Good fun for normal track stuff too, I've had mine over at the 'ring smile

Sold my Impreza WR1 last month and yesterday I put a deposit down for this GT3 Clubsport. 11k miles on the clock and a really good spec including PCCB, Litronics and a Parr Stage 1 Fast Road set up.

Picking it up on Saturday, this week is going to draaaaaaaag!

Oh yes indeed, watched the carnage at crail the other week when the boys spacer failed and sent a wheel flying, Mint flipped the MX5.

The 4th left then 3rd right is I assume after the hairpin by the 'pits'? looked entertaining in the wet!

Half tempted to try these Crail trackdays in something disposable.

Quite a few £400 BMWs and such there. If you have facebook, follow 'GaragefkHouse' (crude name but they are budget drifters and a good laugh!)

Would be interested to see how folk drive on the actual track days rather than drift.

Really pleased for you Clark. All the hard work is paying off! Lovely car. Look forward to the inevitable 'detailed' pics once complete. smile

Always some kind of carnage, glad the guys were alright. I was up too but mostly hanging around the SXOC BBQ area, really need to get mine sorted out and get back into it.

The fast section is on the opposite side of the tyres that mint hit, left hander with toilet block on inside and then right hander back onto the drag strip. When you make an arse of the left hander it gets pretty sketchy!
