Great day out, nice to meet a few folks too.

I was particularly impressed/amazed/amused by the Renault Clio I was following for most of the way to Newton Stewart. I thought the brake lights didn't work - my bad, he just didn't brake. Ever.

Thanks to Paul for organising the run, hope it's not too bad regards the Countach frown

I hardly took any pics, and those that I did take are of questionable quality, but here they are:

Sounds like a re-occuring theme, I too was in no fit state to drive this morning and unfortunetly missed it.

Paul, hope your off wasnt too bad, sounds like nobody was hurt, which is the important thing.

Hopefully will be able to catch up with a lot of you soon

Hi guys
Sorry for not being with you all day but a large ditch attracted my attention!
I appreciate the irony of me warning you all about the roads and I am the one who goes off it! Am sure I will be slagged about this for years to come!
Fortunatley neither Paul ( twin) or I were hurt. I got completely cnfused as to where the road was going and was loking for a cattle grid, brked hard which was in a passing place with gravel and skidded off into a large ditch! Twin's version of this is much more dramatic and entertaining!
Done some damage to the car, NS front wheel w/o as is wishbone and tie rod and front spoiler! Will get the bad news tomworrow when car properley examined!
I understnad that everyone had a good time depsite our crap directions!
Next time I will hope to complete a run!!
Thanks again for all your support for our runs
Paul

Had a great time, thanks for organising Paul. Sorry to hear about your wee bit of off roading. My exhaust finally gave way coming out of Newton Stewart. It took a heavy hit coming over a bridge and departed from my vehicle sliding across the road into a ditch, (much like Paul laugh) Drive home was loud to say the least. All in all a good fun day out, looking forward to the next one, should have my new car finished by then. Elliot

Shame I couldn't make this in the end, looks like a fantastic selection of cars were there.
Paul - gutted to hear about your off in the Countach. Hope the damage isn't too bad (or too expensive) and you get it fixed soon. frown

Cheers.

Afternoon boys & girls

Had a fantastic time today, the run from Lesmahagow to Newton Stewart was fantastic, had some fun with the Alpina, Cooper S and blue MR2,hope I didnt hold anyone up!! great roads!! Pity about the run up to Girvan, just not enough overtaking spots unfortunetely but still a great day! Ended up going along past Turnberry, wished a few had followed as these were some great road, very little traffic and no speed cameras!

Paul, sorry to hear about your of road adventure, as long as you and twin are ok thats the main thing.

Definetley up for the next one, just let me know where and when!!

Hi all,
This was my first run as some of you know. I ended up at the front of the first group as this is my home territory and I knew where we were heading.
I didn't know the protocols for this and hope that I didn't hold anyone up too much. As it was my second day with the TVR I was still finding out what it and me were capable of.
Thanks for your company to the end of the Dalveen Pass and I hope to see you all again at a future run where I can play follow the leader.
Cheers,
Neil

Thanks for giving me and the Monaro an opportunity to "stretch our legs" along with some good company.

Trusting the Countach repairs won't be too extensive, Paul.

Elliot, hope your pipe-bender is good to you.

Looking forward to another one.

Many thanks to Paul and co for organising, an excellent choice of roads sir and I hope the off doesn't result in too much fiscal heartache!

H.7. - Now I know why the Police use Volvos smile

Aspen - enjoyed chasing you in the ITR up to Girvan, it's a planted, purposeful machine that is for sure.

Evening all,

Just in the door......cars off to bed

Just would like to add
Great day out , lovely scenery and weather was kind.
A wee dampener to the day was hearing the news of our leader.
Paul, I hope the car is back on the road soon but the main thing is he's OK.

Thanks to everyone for turning up - I had a great day and some great drives.

The run down to Newton Stewart was pretty exciting and I was lucky enough to be holding up (leading them by the hand) the fast group with the supercars. There were a few hairy moments like when the caravan I was overtaking tried to run me off the road and when i managed to get a least 2 wheels in the air but we managed to get all the way there without any wrong turns.

I manged to get the first lunch at the Galloway Arms so I was happy with that smile I think a few of the guys after me got half cooked burgers so i got lucky!

The run up to Girvan was pretty good for us as we manged to get past all the caravans etc and have a decent blast.

On the route back from Girvan Andy and I took every single track road we could find until we got back to Galston...great fun! After that I was too tired and decided that my passenger could do the rest of the run home.

Hope everyone had fun - get all your pictures and videos posted up soon!

It was a great run today - thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome.

Big thanks to Paul and Andrew for the organising, and I hope the bill isn't too bad! Everyone is fine though which is the main thing.

It has been a while since I've stretched the R26's legs, felt like it was blowing off some steam today - it felt excellent.

Also, I was really lucky and got an almost clear run to Girvan - that is an excellent piece of road, and I was exhausted by the end of it - 100% the whole way.

Shared a bit of the M77 and across to EK with the Vanatge and 911 Turbo - that was a bit of fun too - those cars sound great smile

Good day, and looking forward to the next one!

Well. What a day. Pity we hadn't all had so much fun, sorry paul ( hope the lambo gets sorted quickly and without having to remortgage !)

That first stint to newton stewart was just the business. Sandwiched between another cerb ( decatted,Sound AND Flames, he he ), a 911 turbo (sorted, sounded and smelt excellent ) and a monaro (sounded sweet ). Should have raised my shockers a tad though, i think i have enough road kill on my undercarriage to cater for the next tunnel run barbeque !!!

It was good to meet everyone and share an ice cream in girvan on such an excellent day.

A BIG thanks to paul and andrew for their time spent organising another great day.

Here's to another one soon.( Maybe the weather will be better over in the east and we might get a wee shifty at this cobra, eh hugh !!!)
