Oh aye, almost forgot.
White Evoque, going out the A71 at Sighthill today from Edinburgh.
Blues and Twos, don't know what service, could've been Fire I suppose, but it travelling at a fair rate towards the Calder Road fire station
Reg began SN12.
Also seen this a week or so ago heading from the A90 towards Kirkliston. White Evoque, going out the A71 at Sighthill today from Edinburgh.

Now Evoque's are what, nearly £40k I believe? WTF do the police need such a car for? Surely something a lot cheaper will do the job just as well, possibly even better at a cheaper price?
There are threads and threads devoted to this a) nobody knows it's a Police car, it may be a fire officer's personal car used for emergency purposes
b) even if it were Police, they'd not pay list price
c) the Police haven't got money to waste on cars because they're cool - I'm sure they'd rather spend the money on keeping their mates' jobs.

Silver 5-door Vauxhall Astra, didn't catch the reg, driving right up my rear, on Shields Road in Glasgow, as I headed towards the M8. I turned left and right at the last minute they swerved right to head along past the underground and both the male cop driving and female cop passenger eyeballed me, strange!

Hi, spotted on Sunday they Silver unmarked A4 just before the M77 cut off on the M8, think its SF60 AEC.
This was on the m77/m8 Wednesday lunch time, seams a big presence on m77 this week patrol car hiding at haggs castle exit onto 77 at 12.00amFS08 DUH silver Focus giving a scruffy looking Celica a scare outside the Mitchell Library in Glasgow yesterday.
Lights all hidden within the standard Ford light clusters and boy was it grubby, hadn't seen a bucket of soap for a while!
It did make me smile at the DUH part of the reg. I am sure that is exactly what the Celica driver thought when the Focus de-cloaked!

Saw 2 of Strathclyde's finest pulling some poor sod outside 'The Barras' a few weeks back, the only problem was they were driving an unmarked black Merc YA12 EFT (ive got a pic, will upload later, at work now)
It surprised me because SP havent used Merc's as standard for years, but judging by the reg its only on trial/loan, was lit up like a christmas tree (festive eh?) so appears to be a genuine, fully kitted out Road Policing car

It is SF08 DUH, its one of the very few older unmarked cars which have rear red LED's within the tail-lights, blue LED's behind the front grill and headlight flasher units Lights all hidden within the standard Ford light clusters and boy was it grubby, hadn't seen a bucket of soap for a while!
