That article was back in December but I actually saw them on their dirt bikes in glasgow Green last summer so maybe they've added more to their fleet. I saw 4 pass my work earlier this week.

Am I the only one that has noticed a dramatic drop in police activity on the M74 extension into Glasgow? Very rarely see a marked car never mind an unmarked car pulling anyone nowadays.

Its almost as if the instructions from on high have been that all the activity has kept the speeds down so to move on elsewhere?

There was a marked 5 series parked up just before Polmadie junction yesterday lunchtime!

What I have noticed is a very big drop in police activity on the M74 outside of Glasgow. Before Christmas I'd see unmarked cars operating in both directions but this past month I've seen very few.

The A4 seem to lurk around the Newbridge area quite a lot and the Volvo seems to cover the city bypass round towards Straiton.

Anybody know what Fife are running around in these days? Been a while since I've seen a traffic car let alone an unmarked car around these parts... which could be a bad thing in the case of the latter!

I saw a BMW 530 in Space Grey which had pulled over a Zafira just outside Kintore on the A96 yesterday.
The plate on the BMW was SV12ARZ (which checks out apart from it being red) and all the blue lights were concealed in the grill or behind privacy glass.

SF56LKP - Red Focus hatch on the M77 this morning. Seems a bit old but had two aerials, dog guard, no name on plates etc. Pool car maybe?

Gutted - i was caught doing 42 in a 30 on the big wide long road down the side of the Emirates Arena. I'm usually vigilant but the bike cops were so far away I just didn't see them in time. I'm all for speed checks but as usual, they seem to pick a road that such a speed would pose a danger on. I wish they'd target built up areas!

Anyways, my fault....I already have 6 points, 3 of which are no longer 'live' come next Thursday. The fine is now £100 - ouch! Watch out guys.
