Alright clark, its andy here, (911) we were chatting on sunday after lunch before you left. Hope you guys got back up the road in good time. Will gladly add you to the list HOWEVER!! we need to sample some of youre merchandising to ascertain if they are as good as your co-pilot claims. Any donations of cream cakes to the Oct11th organising comittee should be made to Flip Flop and NOT KMM (as he has obviously eaten far too many cakes already)hehe

names added mate, look forward to seeing you

Hi, apologies for not making the August run, some little tt nicked my neighbours 15 yr old Fiesta on Friday night and uncapable of getting out a tight space took the front of my TT with them, Feckers! Especially since it's getting traded-in in a week for a big and boring E Class, but will still be able to have some fun in the Cooper S conv, as long as it doesnt rain, Mini seems inacapable of having any sort of traction at all at the front wheels if there's the tiniest bit of rain, new tyres have been put on but no joy, ay further ideas??

A.
You running the run-flats buddy? is it the new mini mk2?

Alright team,

myself and kmm are meeting later in the week to discuss the next route. We have some fantastic roads in mind but I was wondering, what is the preferred type of road. If you dont mind could you comment from Si's excellent choice of roads. was the first half of the run (to selkirk - quieter narrower roads) or the 2nd half selkirk to Duns faster wider roads. What would the preference be, or a mixture of both.

Cheers guys

Hi guys. What i looked for was 2 hours of driving for the first stage and about an hour for the second stage. And looked for roads i knew and liked, i sat with a map and google and went for a run to check out some of the roads i did not now. And basically if they put a smile on ma face i was happy with them. Wasent so sure about the narrow roads but after driving them i know they were the ones i wanted to use. I know i like a challenge and fast sweeping stuff is great but a few tight corners help aswell keeps the speed down and some tail happy action 2 lol. I also tried to have a finish point where it was easy for people to get back to the main roads and easy to find there way back home. The only criticism i got was the start point had no toilets, as people had traveled for and hour or so to get to the start point. But iam sure what ever you come up with will be fun and interesting and iam looking forward to it.

I noticed just about everybody stopped somewhere during the morning Borders stint for a natural break at the roadside. A planned mid-morning break might help or toilets at the start point.

Count me in for the Oct run. Couldn't go on the last one as
was working at 12. Hence made the meeting point, met a few guys
then watched you all head off, bummer.
Can't comment on roads as was not there but will go with the flow

Cheers Al

Si, my only negative comment about the Duns run on Sunday would be the lack of stops for re grouping or toilets at the start point.
I know its not easy with that amount of vehicles mind you.
We left Fife at 830 and didn't get to Duns till around 1200 / 1230 ...... luckily I was in the 2nd half of the first group so got to the pub and toilets before the rush!

I'll be up for the next run anyway, with my mate in the 350Z......and we'll hopefully not lose our other friend in the Accord Type R!
