O/T Si, noticed you are not down for karting! You not wanting to come along?
Back on topic... think that will be the MR done for the hardcore runs for this year, I'm not ready for sideways action just yet! Definately up for something in the spring. Sandrail got home safe, minus some oil which ended up on the nose and windscreen of the MR, but he cleaned it all up!
glad your home ok- what was problem-too loose or too tight.Back on topic... think that will be the MR done for the hardcore runs for this year, I'm not ready for sideways action just yet! hey, seriously considering either a winter knockhill track day or crail day, depending on numbers and costs. i think we would try and fill it from the lists of names from the last few runs, this would ensure a continuity of banter and allow the more timid or less experienced track dayers (like myself) to have an enjoyable day within good company and not be worrying about track fiends.
Si is going to check out Crails costs and facilities and once costs are clear we can make a decision.
Feedback is welcome on a yes/no basis for either of the above, my main thought is that off the public roads we are less reliant on the weather to keep us away from slides as they should be a lot less painful in a track environment.
cheers
ps wheels are in for refurb/repair on wed, will post a before/after shot and costs once I get them back, was quite embarassing walking in today and getting that "alright son, being a tt in a car you cant handle" look from the guy at the first wheel place.

Did a couple of runs with the NE of Englandshire while i was living down there. Some very, very good roads. Some technical, some high speed. Defo worth a visit but if the weather's not gonna hold up then maybe one to save for next year.
Although 2nd of January in the snow was fun too :

Thanks folks for letting me to tag along
the old hotrod loved the straight roads
but hated the bends as much as a deep sea diver.
got lost (well sort of) just before the green welly
i was ploding along no one in sight then all these
porsches come belting towards me, done a u turn &
started chasing them (thanks to the kind guy in the porsche)
for stoping & telling me i WAS going the right way but
they were on a different run. other than that i had a good day
out with some fantastic views on route.
thanks again folks. Andy

Yeah I spent quite a bit of time working in Northumberland last year and I came across some cracking roads around the Rothbury area, but I wouldn't recommend them for a winter run. They're great in good weather though K.
