Hey guys,

Thanks for all the postings saying how good it was yesterday, talking to kenny we had a great day aswell.

It was great to have some new recruits, sorry faces, and too see all the usual suspects in good form.

Heres hoping we get some more pictures up soon, thanks Paul for yours tonight, if we could get some more that havent been etcha sketched all over that would be great. (ladies and gentlemen - kmm's defacing of my car and photo is outrageous and a classic example of why you should never leave kids alone in a room with crayons).

We are already looking at a possible event for everybody for later in the year or early next, however I will post details for feedback under a seperate thread. In the meantime keep an eye on the trackday thread I'll also be posting it will be a riot aswell.

Finally, to quote mastercard

Cost of 1 and 1/2 tanks fuel - £75
Cost of the new back tyres, front brake pads and trip to lotus I now need £675
Cost of seing Kenny's face as he realised it was me overtaking him...PRICELESS

laugh
Flip - new tyres in July, track work in August (more tyres) should we be buying shares in Toyo??
Should anyone wish to continue the yellow theme and buy a car like Johnny's see the car of the week here, but it's not cheap.

Thanks for a great day - still hiding behind the sofa from the postman!

The tyre had only been on for a few thousand miles frown

Yeah luckily it was a great day which helped, otherwise I wouldn't have been so relaxed about it ... still there were some pretty nasty holes in that road.

I could try taking it to the garage and asking if it can be patched up, it'd be funny to see what reaction I got biggrin

Sorry for not making it to the run folks I was a bit over generous on the accelarator going round a greasy roundabout and ended up in a ditch frown car was completely fine cosmetically but a drop link an track rod had to be sourced. Funny thing is that I managed to get the parts and car back on the road for about 10 . Thought about catching up with you guys but the confidence took a little ding and I decided to leave it for another day . Sounds like you had an awesome day just a pity I wasn't there. Always the next one thoughsmile

I got nothing of the Dukes pass on the way up. Small camera on front is tempremental and the camera inside i switch to off instead of on. Got a good shot of the cylists, then switch off. I do have some other stuff, but not looked at it all yet. I will email you once i've had a good look at it and can stick it on a disc for you.

The alternative is to go back up and get the camera's working properly. Got any plans on Sunday 8th Aug? I'm running my wife to the airport for 5am. Road will be nice and quiet!! You know i'm not joking!!

Expect an email this week. Promise i won't deface or colour change your motor on any pictures.
Kenny.

Switch off instead of on.... can’t fault you there, sounds like something I would do. What camera are you using on front? a GoPro? think I need to get me one of those.

A disk would be great, thanks Kenny.

If you’re serious about Aug 8th, and I think you are, I might just take you up on that. Can’t commit right now but sounds good. Which airport? Sunday was so good, don't be surprised if 30 cars turn up at 5 in the morning.....stragglers in their jammies.

Cheers,
Al

Checked out the video's last night (wife wasn't too happy when i woke her up coming to bed at 1am).
Not only did i make a complete hash of trying to work the camera's - how hard can it be....push ON....push START. I had also not fully tightened up the onboard camera mount, so have a little bit of camera shake.
But...i still do have some good footage which is worth a look. I will not edit the clips as the comment by me and a few choice words by my wife are actually quite funny.

I'll do a disc no probs.

Wife flys from Edinburgh airport, but Glasgow ain't that far at 5am!! If it's dry, i can see a mini run developing.
