Can anybody recommend a gearbox reconditioning company in the central belt somewhere?

Ideally in/near Edinburgh, and also somewhere that will remove and replace the box as I don't have space to do it myself.

I've been waiting for 2 months for a Volvo specialist down south to fit me in but he's very busy and I'm getting a bit fed up waiting rolleyes

The box is noisy and I suspect that one or more bearings are on the way out. Getting a replacement will be very hard so this one will have to be reconditioned if possible.

Thanks.

I'll email you with my details, thanks.

I've met Paul on a few runs, and his recommendation is good enough for me wink

Can’t help you with that but I used A S K transmissions in Falkirk to strip my box and fit a LSD last year, Stuart is highly recommended.

Went with Rod in the end - good guy and great if very unassuming wee garage. Throughput of work there looks incredible. Place was rammed!
