They still haven't closed the gaps in the road, which would make it safer.

I did notice the night after the limit had changed to 40 mph, the police were sitting waiting to catch folk.

Noticed the new 40 limit yesterday - did I miss them or west of the Kingswells roundabout are there any big 40 signs? I saw the small repeaters but that was all. I know that you should be paying attention to these things, but I do think that when a limit is changed like that there should be some 'new speed limit in force' sign or similar. I only realised the change when I realised the old big 50 signs were gone just after the new estate entrance. And why the hell have they done this anyway?!

Signed.

This is driving me mad. It was working perfectly well at 50. Now you've got people sitting at 38 mph across both lanes, which means they're actually not doing much more than 30.

I agree. It was a bit crazy when the limit was 70 with all the junctions (without slip-roads and some crossing the carriageway), tractors etc. But 50 was fine!

Coupled with the fact that the traffic is also held up by traffic lights at both ends, all you have is a block of cars moving at the same speed, creating frustration and more likelihood of accidents with the closely grouped vehicles.
