Post Christmas Blast: Monday 27 December 2010 0930-1300

My fellow PHers - with all the crap weather recently, my 911 hasn't turned a wheel since the dinner on the 27th November and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.
I'm busy with domestics etc until Christmas but have promised myself a wee run on 27th December before the Glasgow Night Out so I thought why not see if anybody fancies coming along.

Route is ready and will be a mix of Kenny's Stirling Run and my Argyll Run with a 0930 start, a coffee stop and an optional lunch at the end around 1230.



If you skip lunch you will be back in Glasgow by 1300.

IF THE WEATHER TURNS ARCTIC AGAIN WE CAN MAKE A DECISION ON CANCELLING ON BOXING DAY.

Hmmm … if I can get my front suspension sorted before Christmas, I’m in. Otherwise, not. All depends on whether the road up to Motortune in Shotts thaws out in time!

Cheers for the suggestion Kenny (always good to have another recommendation), but I’m very happy with Peter at Motortune and don’t plan on taking my car anywhere else. He looks after me and my car very well, so I prefer to keep giving him the business.

Tony, a friend has a transporter, do you want me to get a price to uplift it, take it to Shotts and bring it back once it is done?

That’s a kind offer as well, ta. I’ll pass though—if the transporter could get through then so could my 944.

My end of the route isn’t a problem, it’s just whether the wee streets around Motortune clear or not. As soon as it’s passable, they’ll phone me.

Sounds great but I can't get the Porkster out of the lane at the moment. Tried midweek and got stuck for an hour in snow on the lane. Neighbours had fun pushing me out but the humiliation... Would have been easier had Kenny caught me test driving an Audi! Happy Crimbo you lot. O

Dont worry mate its not punishment I'm after just need a wee spin so if weather is too bad for John's F430 I'll cancel it. I know you don't like puddles!!

BTW it's not the puddles that are a problem, it's the sinkholes full of water that seem to be appearing in Lanarkshire. Getting the car out of Lanark is becoming an issue.

If it's bad weather I'll still go, but we could cut it shortish n make it a fun run to a nice food stop?
